About Me

I will be 46 in December, no idea why this this has the wrong birth date! I am looking for an educated, strong, sensitive, passionate woman who is fit and loves to travel. I am seeking intellectual and emotional compatibility, and a relationship that would allow for a balance of give and take. I am interested in sharing my passions and in turn sharing and learning about the passions of my significant other.For the last two years I was the primary caretaker for my mother who had cancer. We lost her in July. I am taking a hiatus from work right now. I have been a public high school French teacher for 8 years. I earned a Fulbright in ***. I have lived and worked in Southern France. I like to return to France often. I am interested in social issues. I do research on my own. I can watch TED and You Tube all night. I sit back in disbelief at our nation's political system and priorities. To me we are witnessing the erosion of the middle class. I enjoy foreign, indie film. I just saw "Inequality for All" by Richard Reich. I have seen some absurd things as a public school teacher that would make your head spin. I'd like to effect change. I'm thinking another degree. Meeting a woman who is aware and informed in a similar way about what we are witnessing, would be wonderful.You won't catch me watching sports center, spending football Sunday in front of the TV with the guys.     Hello...:) I'd like to start off by saying that it's been way to long since I've felt that feeling of truly missing someone after only meeting them for the first time. Driving home with your only thoughts of when you will spend more time together. A sense that something changed, and that change is good. I really am only interested in someone that has an open heart and trusting soul that's ready for more than tip-toeing through the dating scene. Individuality is a great thing. Always played sports through most of my life... I don't have a washboard stomach, but I do keep in good shape... I play tennis and gold now, but have played football, ice hockey, and baseball for quite a few years in the past. You won't be surprised if you ever meet me on my appearance or on anything as what I've written. Most say that I look a lot younger than I am.. I'd Like to meet someone who isn't afraid to show her true feelings and is ready to potentially have a relation. Understanding that at first I like to start off slow. It's always good to see if you like hanging out with each other and if deeper feeling evolve, than that would be great;)....
