I like to ride my bicycle near the ocean to stay in shape. I also like music [blues, jazz, rock, downtempo, electronic], I play drums on occasion as well. I rarely eat meat anymore, I try to eat a lot of raw veggies and fruit these days. Fresh smoothies rule. I rarely drink any alcohol, but when I do, I prefer specialty European beers and local fine wines. I've been divorced for about 3 years now, I have a sweet and very intelligent 10 yr old daughter who lives with her mom. I have her every other weekend, I cherish and adore her very much.My days of going 'out on the town' are few and far between, I much more prefer outdoor activities, bike riding, coastal drives, picnics, nature videography and concerts. When I'm not outside, I like staying indoors in a dimly lit room watching movies and occasionally having pastries and the like to satisfy my sweet tooth.I have a cat, she's pretty laid back, as am I. I shoot things with my video camera, mostly musicians and live performances. I also know a lot about computers and most of my modest income is derived from fixing them for individuals and small businesses. However, I prefer visual media work when I can get it.I'm looking for an honest, intelligent and caring woman with no drama, someone to laugh and spend quality time with.Cheers Frisbee in the park, thrift store treasure hunting or a road-

Getting close to retirement from the military so a new phase of life coming up. My entire adult life has been military so the thought is a bit scary. My time has been very good and it has given me many things I likely would not have gotten otherwise but I am getting tired and the reduced freedoms are starting to stifle. I have no idea what I am going to do when I retire but no more soul sucking jobs!Returned to the area and bought a house that was built in ***. So working through the typical restoration projects that come with a home of that age. Also restoring a ***Jeep CJ7 to relearn auto mechanics. It has been a good experience though stressful at times. Americans seem to be moving further and further away from doing tasks themselves so we lose skills that are useful but laborious. Back to basics.Since I am getting close to leaving the military my life feels like it is opening up. The chance to travel places I actually want to go to as well as opportunities to volunteer. Currently I have to use personal leave to volunteer which can be a bit of a bummer. I would love an opportunity to go to other counties and volunteer to give free medical care. It seems like a cool adventure. New place plus helping others is a win-win.I enjoy yoga and go regularly and though I can't say I rush out to crossfit I do it because it pushes me. I am back down to my 22 year old weight which is a great feeling.I don't have a lot of pictures of myself because whenever someone takes a photo of me I usually look like I've had one too many head injuries (which may be accurate). Always up for a spirited discussion on the merits of most anything. Music especially. Not a huge tv watcher especially sports. I do like going to games since the energy is so much different there. Very type B personality. Take life as it comes. Trying to be more zen in life as getting annoyed at little things isn't a good way to live. Stopped watching cable news and stress is mostly gone. Seems they are selling fear and dissonance and America is buying.Tend to watch my diet. Try to stay away from preservatives and other additives. Not sure if there is a difference in my health but I am hopeful. Rare soda. Thanks for reading and I wish you luck in your search.Charles '
