Secure and mature guy who nonetheless has the heart of a kid. The fact that I work with lots and lots of young adults everyday also probably keeps me in a more youthful mindset. To say I'm "well traveled" would be something of an understatement; exploration is still my chief passion. My dream job has already become a reality, so no complaints there. I can be nerdy, but people are generally surprised to find that I have athletic abilities as well. That said, jogging has never appealed to me, to be honest. If I'm running, there needs to be a good reason. :-) I'm fairly articulate and outgoing, so I meet people easily and tend to be in the heart of the discussion at social engagements. People tell me that I have a way of putting them at ease. Even my ex-girlfriends still like me :-) Though I've lived in LA for 20 years now, it's still something of a mystery to me. It's sort of a blessing and a curse to have an outside perspective of the city. Some people have a hard time figuring out how different aspects of my personality mesh (e.g., I'm a wine enthusiast and a Harley rider), but I'm not about to apologize for letting my freak flag fly. I'm open-minded and accepting and expect the same in return. This is my debut venture with online dating - it's alien. If I meet even one cool person from this source, though, that's got to count as a success, right? Anywhere we can talk, really.

Ok, so I got your attention for just a moment. I suppose that is all I need. If I were to meet you in person, I would have come to you with probably some cheesy pick up line. NO wait, that was ***years ago. Now I think I would look for an opening the current situation and introduce myself. In person, I do not carry a profile card to pass out for your review before we continue our conversation so why do I need all of this up front. Where's the fun in getting to know someone. I have answered several of the profile questions as well as applied a few photo's, I apologize as I do not have many photo's of myself and think "selfies" for guys is just dumb. I won't post photo's that expose my boys nor will I post me with the "ex." or something like that. I am interested in finding someone to share time with and build a relationship; however, friendships are relationships too. Honestly, I am looking for a more long term type relationship rather than dating just to date or hang out. I keep pretty busy between work and my time with my boys. When I don't have them, I find myself fishing, hunting, or just hanging out at the house. Once in awhile I gotta get out. I have done lots of things and always willing to try something new. Dare ya to find out. I prefer not to text much, calls or face to face are best for me. It would be great if you receive a message from me that you respond to it after you read it, if to just say no thanks. Reading and not responding although sends the hint of not interested, it does leave a bit of frustration as well. I am sure you get a million messages that you would prefer to ***, I hope I am not one. Well, it appears a quick conversation over a coffee or drink is the standard answer for most profiles. I don't do coffee but can fill the gap. The first date should be safe and comfortable for both but hard to describe without knowing a little about you. In addition, I do not believe they should me nothing more than simple as over the top may set expectations to high creating disappointment later. Lets give it a chance.
