It's been a good year for me, professionally--lots of exciting things have happened. In general, I feel grateful for what life has offered me: emotional and financial stability, good friends, the ability to set my own schedule and to pursue my passions.A little about me: I'm enthusiastic and opinionated, a culture junkie who enjoys new experiences. I play well with others. I like to roam around the planet for inspiration. I work for myself and do reasonably well.--I grew up here and I'll never get sick of it. I enjoy writing. My story collection came out last year, and recently I started freelancing for the WSJ.I can always use a few more cool people in my life, although the right one is what I'm really looking for. I think I'm ready for the next chapter. I'm open to all sorts of first dates, although they should involve a good deal of conversation so I can get to know a bit about my date. I love people who suggest quirky/unusual first dates, but I am also open to grabbing a coffee or a drink or a meal or even going for a nice walk. It says here a longer description will get me more responses, but I don't want to get too specific. Why box myself in? So many possibilities.For the record, second dates are a much better test for me than first dates :)

I am trying to find a nice, attractive guy for friendship with the hopes for eventually dating, and possibly LTR. It would be nice to enjoy the simple yet fun things in life with someone that is genuine and open to new experiences.I am attracted to confident guys who don’t express it through words, but how they carry themselves. I have many aspirations in life - both short and long term and hope to find someone with the same passions. Some of the character traits I am attracted to include; a sense of humor and, be able to laugh, college educated, respectful of friends, family, and their partner, a great communicator, spontaneous yet responsible, and lastly, someone serious about pursuing a monogamous relationship. I would not say I'm physically attracted to a specific type of guy; history has told me it’s all about the connection; that spark and chemistry. It's a great feeling but does not happen often. I am a pretty easy going guy who can usually have fun doing just about anything. I enjoy meeting up for coffee, catching a movie or a show, going bowling or going on a hike, seeing an exhibit at a museum, or just wandering aimlessly around a park. I do have a passion for the outdoors. I like hiking, camping, fishing, and much more. As an FYI I am not into the gay scene "Bars and Clubs". I’m very happy at this point in my life and would love to share it with someone. First date...hmmm I guess a walk in the park over some refreshing drinks so that we can get to know one another a bit.
