About Me

I'm a teacher that works with special needs children. I also play bass in a band. I've been a musician for most of my youth and then I went into teaching. I like to work out. I'm looking for someone intellectual, as the love of learning is one of my great passions. I'm looking for someone either middle of the road or liberal. I'm Christian, but I'm extremely open about religion and spirituality. But if you're a conservative Catholic, we're not going to see eye-to-eye on many things. I'm a "live and let live" type person and I find arrogance and people who are hypocrites highly offensive. (And people who yell a lot!) :) Love and spirituality are part of who I am and I'm looking to share that with someone special. As a teacher, I kind of talk to people all day long and I feel like I would have to have a five minute conversation with you before I could make any kind of plan for a date. I can often read people very quickly and I would be able to come up with a plan after assessing who you are and what you like. I have a lot of varied interests, especially intellectual, and I'm looking for the same. Don't get me wrong, I like to go out and party, too. We could go out to a fancy dinner, go to a sporting event, go to a concert (although not the really late ones...:)) We could work out together, go to a library, or do some sort of volunteer, charity work. I love to make women happy and I have a lot of love to give.

    I am fond of birds (as pets and in the wild) and driving down the highway during the summer with the windows down and the radio on. I think what makes me unique is that I am a good listener (most of the time) and I can be intense. I do like music but don’t listen to it everyday. Mostly on the weekends I like to listen to the radio, usually while driving. Don’t’ ask me what my favorite sound is on the radio though because I don’t pay that close attention. I aspire to be a better, happier person. Things can get rough in life, but I am trying to find my way. Maybe someone else feels the same way. I wouldn’t describe myself as cheery but I am pretty genuine. I like to give things to people I like, whether it is motivation, a fresh perspective or a small token of my appreciation. I feel sorrier for the person who can’t trust than I do for the person who trusts too much – because I know the pitfalls of the former. I would also like to manage the stresses of life in a healthier way than I too often do. (I don’t do drugs and am not an alcoholic but do know where the cookie aisle is at Trader Joe’s.) I have friends, but my closest friends are my family. I like and respect my friends but would like to find someone with whom I could perhaps develop a closer relationship. I have been told I have a good sense of humor, but it doesn’t come out that often. I think it would be good to meet over coffee on the weekend.
