Life isn't always straight forward. I've learnt the hard way the true value of honesty, compassion, kindness and trust. On balance I'm confident I've done more good to people than bad which is probably as good a measure of a man's character as any. I believe - within reason - it's what you do in the end that counts.I've seen something of the world but I'm very much aware that I've still got a lot to learn. I think I'm fairly resilient; over the years I've managed to break my nose, my shoulder twice, a few ribs, fractured my shin and torn a ligament in my ankle and as far as I'm aware everything still pretty much works OK.e. I guess in some ways I'm unconventional - you probs. need to be OK with tattoos - but I'm also into the standard guy things e.g. football, BBQs, lawnmowers etc...To be honest I'm not the best at relaxing and generally need to be doing something, but you know, if you're like that too, it could probably work out pretty good! Moved here for my job and have been here for about 2 years. I am a huge foodie, love to cook for friends and try out new restaurants in the DFW area. I travel some for work but love coming home and taking drives out West to see what I can find.I would love to meet someone who shares the same interests so I would have someone to enjoy them with and discover new ones as well. I would think that trying a restaurant that both of us have never been to before would be a good first experience together.Perhaps a place downtown and a walk after. Hey everyone! Ok, about me?! Well I'm a friendly, easy going, honest, caring, young at heart, reliable kinda guy with a broad sense of humor and.... shock, horror I like to think I can cook! I'm good at making soup from scratch (my Tomato soup kicks ass!!) and experimenting! I'm a country lad that lives on a plant growing nursery (plants and flowers!) which is fairly ideal as there's no one close enough to annoy with the drums. Nice place for a long walk in the peace and quiet but it's better when there is somebody with you.Not the sort that's into mind games, can't be bothered with that juvenile nonsense, I say it how I see it. Not too hot on arrogance and ego either.I'm self employed and a musician (semi professional)........ well a drummer to be more precise (The jury is still out as to whether a drummer can be lawfully described as a musician!) and a blonde one at that YIKES!! I play in a Thrash metal band. See! I don't take myself too seriously, though I can hold a serious mind. We get a few high profile support gigs, we seam to be popular with the fans! My musical interests are pretty much centred around Rock music, Heavy Metal and Classical.Like to play Ten Pin Bowling, I enjoy going out and catching up with my mates at gigs, pub and the like. I love my music and I try to get out to gigs as much as I can, enjoy playing them with my band also. I love movies too although don't be surprised that I say it's of the Action, adventure and comedy types, typical bloke stuff. Not big on watching television at all, in my opinion its mostly all rubbish and not really worth switching on for at all. I'd rather watch DVDs or go out. So you'll be safe to watch the soap operas!! Hehe.Looking for someone like myself but then again we all don't all have to be the same to get on with each other.
