I've lived in MN for 17 years yet I still consider myself a west coast girl at heart - Comfortable in jeans and no make up, but love slipping on that little black dress and heels for a night on the town. My friends would describe me as loyal, spunky and full of life. My sense of humor is sometimes sarcastic, but never malicious in intent as I believe in uplifting people whenever possible. I am a life long learner and have a wide variety of interests including art and design (I draw and paint), being active outdoors (biking, kayaking, skiing) live music, sporting events, theater and learning about other cultures. I took a Chinese cultural class - just because. I have one daughter in college in the Twin Cities - we are a small, but close family - and family is central to me. A few of my guilty pleasures: - A weekend with no agenda and a misplaced to-do list- Walking hand in hand under a full moon- Sitting on the beach listening to the surf roll in while the sun sets on the horizon- The Phantom of the Opera- Lounging in the hammock with the water mister on and a good book in hand- Kayaking down the Kinnickinnick river- Fall holds a special place in my heart. I love the smell of fallen leaves and cuddling in front of a warm bonfire, sipping hot cider and carving pumpkins,Enough about me - a good friend of mine once said, "some people just go through life existing, but when you find someone special to love - that's really living" and I believe that to be true. I'm looking for a man who emits positive energy and is driven, yet can jump in a car on the spur of a moment to start a new adventure. A man who is confident and comfortable with who he is, takes care of himself but is not obsessed with the superficial things in life. As I am phasing into a new part in my life, it is increasingly more important to me to be with someone who wants to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. You do not need to go skydiving every weekend or be in perfect shape, but striving for good health and longevity needs to be a goal we share. Communication is also extremely important to me.
