This is my reboot! There are some terrific people here but I haven't found the one who makes my heart race when he sends me a text or gives me a quick call. Places, people and things I enjoy: I grew up on the east coast so I love water and beaches and I don't care where the sand gets! Life seems to be going quickly so taking time to "chill" is essential. I am looking for a smart and funny man who enjoys music, friends, quiet evenings at home and dressing up for a special evening out. I am hoping that you can express himself and his opinions. Tell me what you're thinking-I know you aren't a mind reader and my crystal ball is on the fritz so lets be open with each other! I don't want to argue about politics but a spirited discussion can get the blood moving. I am a smart woman with an interesting life (at least I find my life interesting!) I have good friends and work hard to BE a good friend. To me, it's not the number of people in my life but the quality of people I surround myself with. A healthy lifestyle is also important. I love wine and mourn the loss of Twinkies but in general I eat well and maintain a fitness schedule. I work out 4 times weekly; yoga, cardio-endurance classes, swimming and weight lifting are part of my weekly regime. The "no drama" clause we all see...please, we're human and unless we live in a bubble...there is going to be some drama. I don't create it and don't want to bring drama into my life but when it appears I handle it-how is that for real? Friends can help each other through those times, as well. Random thoughts: I love music of all kinds and there are small venues where I can sit and listen to local musicians and that is probably my favorite way to enjoy a group. New and different kinds of foods are a passion. I enjoy the theatre and am part of the arts in my community-I am an organizer not the talent!I'm looking for someone special and there has to be a spark. It's indefinable but we'll feel it or not. I am an endurance athlete who spends most of my time outdoors. I spend a lot of time training for triathlons so most of my free time is spent around other athletes. During training season, I get a lot of workouts done early in the morning so they don't overtake my days. During the winter, I am lazy. I am competitive but I am also compassionate and committed to my relationships. People tell me that I am a great listener.I am a professional who is stable in my career but I have considered a career change, recently, and stay open to possibilities. I have taken up writing again and have joined a Women's Blog to stay connected and accountable. I have traveled extensively and feel energized by new experiences. I am most alive in foreign countries and new situations. I can be spontaneous and open: a risk taker. I like cooking, art, photography, reading, long walks, and anything involving wind or water.Finally, and most importantly, I am a mother. My kids range in age from ***, diverse in their gifts and their needs. The oldest is away at College. Their dad lives in town and we co-parent. I am proud of the way that he and I work together to raise good people. A bike ride, long walk or a run. Maybe a workout at the gym. Coffee works if you prefer to sit still. I am slightly introverted until I get to know someone but definitely come out of my shell if I am riding or running. I don't sit still a whole lot but love a nice dinner and a good glass of wine (second date).

Let's see...this is the hardest part isn't it? What can I say that doesn't sound the same as everyone else? I'd like to think I'm special and a really good catch...lol. I work hard, play harder and am an independent, self sufficient woman with a heart of gold. I am happy most of the time and love nothing more than to make people laugh. I have many friends, which in my opinion, is a good way to figure out a person's character. People that aren't nice and don't like anyone don't normally have many friends. lol. . I have a brilliant 12 yr old son that I adore and he really is a Godsend to me. Maybe the fact that he's an only child explains why he is so good all the time? I'm just really lucky to have him. I love kids and always hoped I'd have more than one or at least a stepkid or two but I'm done having children at this age. I don't want more of my own but I would be more than happy with someone else's in my life. I'm also an animal lover and have one fat little dog and feisty cat that rule the house. I'd really like to think there is someone out there for everyone although it sure seems to be harder and harder finding compatible matches these days.I like it when people send messages with a little bit of depth and not just "hi, how's it going?" Why not say a little something about yourself? That normally helps the other person to open up and say something about themselves...it's a give and take sorta take thing....lol Hope we all find a good catch! :^D I think the first meeting should be something laid back where we can talk and get to know each other. No matter what, I try my hardest to be a friendly, personable, and fun date! Even if there isn't a spark; I love meeting new people and it never hurts to make a new friend!
