I find this on-line dating stuff intimidating but here we go! I'm a quiet, laid back, easy going person. I'm devoted 100% to the people I care about; my kids, my family, my friends. I'd like to add a special someone into that mix. While I enjoy an occasional evening out I also like the simple things like walks on the beach (I live 5 minutes from the waterfront trail), hiking and long drives. I truly do like all kinds of music from pop, hard rock, country, classical, heavy metal, even some rap. I have two older teenagers with extremely diverse tastes so I get exposed to lots of musical variety!I like a guy who knows his way around tools, both the car and house variety! Easy-going, down to earth and honest and a good sense of humour! Yes, the sense of humour is as important as they say it is! Family is important to me. My two teenagers live with me and although they're older, they're still a large part of my life. I know at this stage in life no one comes without ties and commitments and I respect that.I'm would like to find someone local. I have been known to camp, hike, bird watch, and other outdoor activities. I like to fish, but haven't been in quite a while. Have not been hunting, but am willing to give it a try, as long as the weapon is a camera. I used to ski, but after an injury, I'm a little skiddish, so I probably wouldn't go higher than the bunny slopes, if at all. I've learned as I've gotten older, that perfection is not attainable - so, I'm not looking for someone perfect - just someone perfect for me. :-)I do like a good 'adventure', whether it be something as easy as trying a new food - or as intricate as backpacking across Europe. Combine the two, and we've got real fun! I've been to a few places, but there is still so many things I'd like to do, and finding the right partner to share the experiences would be icing on the cake! I'm looking for a kind man, who is thoughtful, considerate, sincere, loving and genuine.
