Below was written a few years ago. Been off for a while....*If you read to the bottom of my profile, you will read MUST NOT BE MARRIED. Separated is married. Please be legally divorced.* Hi! This is my first experience with online dating. I'm a single woman who would love to one day meet my best friend to enjoy life with, long term. I'm smart, independent, (went on an 8 night cruise alone), and from what I'm told, attractive & fun to be around. I'm a girlie girl, but not high maintenance. I'm kind of old fashioned in the sense that I'm not into casual sex, like a lot of people these days. I don't take it lightly. I won't kiss on a first date either. Sometimes not for a couple, but it is worth the wait! LOL I have to feel very comfortable with the man & kissing can be more intimate than sex. I tend to be too trusting & giving with people & have gotten hurt many times because of it. I haven't been able to find a man who is truly honest & doesn't lie or deceive. I'm a very honest & open person, & I expect the same from others. WITHOUT TRUST, YOU HAVE NOTHING. I know the best start for a relationship is friendship, and that is all I'm looking for right now. If the right person comes along, who knows what else. I know I don't NEED a man in my life, but a good companion would make life that much better. I love to socialize & go out dancing. Music is my life & the only kind I really don't care for is Rap & heavy metal. I LOVE COUNTRY music!! I probably listen to it about 85% of the time, so if you hate it or just never listened & won't give it a chance, you're probably not the one for me. (Most guys, I've dated in the past, have ended up liking it) :-) I love the beach & the outdoors in general. I recently experienced snorkeling & am contemplating scuba diving. I haven't experienced a whole lot in my life & would love to try new things. I wanna go on a wave runner, so bad!!!(finally did on 4th of July) I took the boating safety course, but have yet to go. I want to go sailing too! Anyone have either?? LOLI love to go to concerts (usually country) & it would be nice to have someone to go with. Oh yeah, I can't live with a SMOKER, so I won't date one. Also, if you do any kind of DRUGS, (including smoking weed), or are into PORN, including movies, mags, internet, strip clubs, etc, DO NOT CONTACT ME. I do not want or need that in my life. I believe relationships should be one on one, no 3rd parties!!(porn) You can lie about it, but eventually I would find out & it would be over, so please don't waste either of our time. Physical attraction is one of the 3 most important things a couple needs for a relationship to last. I am not attracted to overweight & I also don't date outside my own race. The first thing I notice are eyes & smile. :-) A great smile is a big turn on. Another of the 3 most important things is having the same spiritual beliefs. You don't have to be a religious fanatic, but I do believe in God & if you truly don't, please don't contact me. I know what I DON'T want. I'm NOT SETTLING this time around. I'm not desperate nor in a hurry. Good things come to those who wait & sometimes when you least expect it.....     ABOUT ME:I would describe myself as the comic who plays the role of the serious professional to hold down a job. Actually, I'm not always the SERIOUS professional, but I manage to run a relatively successful client base while being myself and have fun doing it. My kids think I know the words to every song ever written (I also remember the lyrics to most songs from Bugs Bunny cartoons and old commercials, but I digress...). I love everything from Pavarotti to the Beastie Boys to Hot Hot Heat. I love to dance and keep threatening to take latin dance lessons but I've yet to do it.One of my favorite things to do is to wander around antique or salvage shops. I love old things: from fine antiques to funky stuff. I'm working on renovating my 3rd victorian house so when I put down my sander and goggles, I'm always looking for the next design idea or the rare item I can't live without. My favorite author is Dr. Seuss....really....ABOUT YOU:You are confident, speak your mind, and respect and enjoy differences of opinion. You're slow to anger and when you occasionally get there, you don't waste energy hanging on to it. You accept and respect differences in others. You are a hard worker but know how to kick back. You have a wicked sense of humor and can be downright silly if the mood strikes. You enjoy all kinds of music, travel, and elegant affairs but are just as comfortable with barefoot bbq's and trashy weddings.     You know, this is not fun trying to describe myself... I am a very loyal person who gives 110% to my relationships. The problem for me is finding that one man who feels the same way. I want the "happily ever after." I've always been the person that people come to for help because they know I am dependableand reliable. Unfortunately, it makes me forgo my needs and wants. I'm not into drama with exes or difficult kids... I've been there, done that. Not going back. At my age, I'm not opposed to finding someone with kids... they just have to be decent kids and respectful... I love kids, don't get me wrong.... I'm very involved with my daughter's club soccer and her activities... love to include the kids....but also know that the "alone time" is also important. I have a great relationship with my daughter's father and have no problems in that department. When I find the right person (or so I think) I've been known to "fall" too fast. I like picnics, I like hiking... so many different things... there are not too many things I am opposed to try... I'm all heart.... if I'm happy or upset, you'll know.... I wear my heart on my sleeve. I can't hide my feelings. I am shy at first.... trying to break that.... but the more comfortable I feel, I'll open up. I work, pay my bills and am responsible. I've been at my present job for almost 9 years (since I've been out here) and the job before that was 18 years. Did I mention that I'm LOYAL. :) I don't need to take care of anyone else. If you're into games, please move on.... that is not what I am looking for. :)I've been fortunate to do things that alot of others can't say. I love to travel... don't always get to travel as much as I want to, but I try to sneak away every once in a while. Well, I guess I wrote a book.. That should give you an idea of the type person I am. Chemistry is must... if it is not there, it would never work.... maybe a friend is all it will be, but ya never know unless we meet. I feel that if a man wants to impress a woman, he will go all out.... be creative. Truly, it doesn't take much to impress me... I'm the type of woman who is happy with a sticky note on the mirror in the morning to surprise me showing me you care. Its really the little things that mean so much to me!
