About Me

Bonus if you know where my headline came from. A little about me: I've been told I'm intelligent, sweet, smart and funny and I believe it. I'm also pretty much a music fanatic, especially Alt Rock, but I love all genres so going out and exploring the music scene is one of my favorite things to do. I also like to go to the theater and movies, (I love the arts in general), cook, dine out, shoot pool & play darts, go to sporting events and I have a penchant for most things "Nerd" or "Geek". I am also financially responsible, live on my own and yes I own a car so I am looking for a man who is financially responsible as well. I am also working on getting in better shape so it would be nice to find someone I could work out with from time to time all though it's not a deal breaker. I am on the curvy side of the fence, but not overtly so, I have great legs and pretty nice backside if I do say so myself. ;)Like most women, I'd love to meet a guy who is intelligent, funny, compassionate, sweet, generous and laid back and of course someone who has some common interests but the most important thing is chemistry and connection. Those adjectives I just sprouted won't mean much with out a good mental, emotional and physical connection. Speaking of which, physically all I can tell you is that I prefer guys who are on the tall side (5'9 or taller) and guys that look on the young side like I do. As far as body type, it's more about how a man carries himself and that he takes a little pride in his health and appearance than his body type so there is definitely no need to be a gym rat. Lastly, I'm looking to be friends with someone as well as romance. To me that is someone you have mutual respect, caring and admiration for, someone you share common interests with and have FUN with and someone who has your back no matter what. Someone who wants to spend time with you and who wants to see you happy. Throw in some chemistry and sexual attraction and voila', you have yourself the potential for a great relationship. One thing I really miss doing is cuddling up with a good guy in front of a movie or listening to some music and just relaxing into him.     I am not a huge fan of this site but when you work often and live in a different town, meeting people is difficult. Meeting quality is even harder.I love life, adventure, traveling and helping people. I work hard, play even harder and don't rely on any one. I am allergic (terribly) to cats but love dogs. I have 3 ... choc lab, wolf husky and a pyr/husky mix. All great natured dogs.I have one left at home, a 16 yr old Sophomore. Great kid ... very together and fun! I have a 30 yr old son and a 29 yr old daughter, 3 grandkids 7, 8, 10.Music is always playing around me. Ecletic taste ... also sing mostly country. It's my accent that seems to pull it all together.My son isn't going to be with me in a few short years ... I am hopeful I will find someone I really enjoy spending time with and maybe ... something long term will develop.I also Cater/dj/kj ... being a single parent ... I like spoiling my son, this helps even though I have a good job and make a good living.I have been here before ... met several but haven't found a mutual interest I guess.     UPDATE...OK, I am an "empty nester," my kids are now young adults, an I have one gr. daughter that I enjoy spending time with, when I can!:) I've spent the better part of my first 40 yrs. "Livin an Learnin" from it! Well...Most of the time anyway!:) Now, I'm ready to spend the next 40 or so "Livin an Playin" any time I can!!:) I have No "past" in My Present...aka, NO Drama with "X's"...moving forward!...Sooo, looking for someone with the same scenario as well...Please!:):) Someone to spend the quite and simple moments with, as well as all of the things to do outdoors! I enjoy anything related to being in or around water (fish,ski,camp,doin "nothin") ridin horses, motorcycles, etc, as well as something as simple as sitting around a fire, an watching the sun go down! Any time or thing that we could spend doing together, as well as having some of your "me" time! I would say I'm "old school" as far as music goes: old rock, but new stuff as well. My preference would be Country,(dancin) as well, but...! I like spending my time outdoors in the country, away from the city if possible, although I have to live in the city for work purposes.
