Over the last several years I've learned, for the most part, you can not take yourself or much of life too seriously. I work hard and am passionately committed to my faith, my son and my small circle of friends/family. In my opinion, an ideal first date is something that enables enough interaction to get a good sense of the person I'm spending my time with and potential chemistry. I feel really lucky to have had a loving supportive life with my family, and have been able to build a career that I truly enjoy. I crave the outdoors, and spend as much time outside doing something active as I possibly can. I ride a bike a lot (cross country and downhill mtn biking, and road), x-country/downhill skiing and snowshoeing in winter, and a lot of walking my dog. I'm a big animal lover, dogs in particular, and I have a lovely 6 yr old pup that goes with me everywhere. I enjoy time with good friends, cooking or watching films or just really good conversation. I tend to be more on the shy side, to be honest, but certainly appreciate a good sense of humour and don't mind being surrounded by the gregarious types. I love music, play percussion as an amateur (ie. in my own home or jamming with friends), and I have music on in every environment I'm in if I have a choice. I read when I can, and like to cook, and enjoy new adventures. I spend a lot of time at my place in Collingwood, fixing up my house (which I love doing) and playing on the Escarpment.I want to be around people who are authentic, and know who they are.
