Over the last several years I've learned, for the most part, you can not take yourself or much of life too seriously. In my opinion, an ideal first date is something that enables enough interaction to get a good sense of the person I'm spending my time with and potential chemistry. I'm not looking to be impressed with venue, I prefer the opportunity to speak to and get to know the person I'm meeting, to a flashy venue.
