Hi!I've read several articles on how to write a good profile on dating sites and they all seem to contradict one another, so I'm going to wing it here. If I miss anything, feel free to ask. Lets start with some of the basics... I'm somewhat recently divorced ***. I met my ex at a bar in '99 so its been a while since I've been out there looking! LOL I currently work from home, hoping to be able to continue to do so until fall of ***when my youngest will be in all day school. That being said, I'm a mom. I've got 2 young kids who primarily live with me. And last fall we adopted a small dog. I generally adore my dog, but there have been many occasions where I wonder what I was thinking when I got him! LOL Oh & I'm close to my family.; a brother... I'm just not as close to the oldest two. =)I marked my profile as having a "crafty" personality. I enjoy making things with my hands. I'm all over the place with what I make.; painted planters with my kids. I also enjoy listening to music. It's a toss up. I haven't been to a concert in ages, but use to really enjoy going. I love to read fiction. I'm almost always reading something. In the evenings I prefer reading or screwing around on the computer to watching tv. I do however love to go to the movies. Comedies, dramas, quirky, scary, chick flicks, (some) action... I like a little bit of everything. Hmmm, I enjoy being outside. I like going for casual bike rides, taking walks, just hanging out in the fresh air. Hanging out at a BBQ with good people is always a good time. I like going out to dinner or out for an occasional drink. In all honesty, I'm probably just as happy staying in with friends & having a beer as I am going out to a bar. I'm on here hoping to find a relationship. I'd love to find a guy that I click with & hope that it grows into something more. I hope that someday, I'll fall in love again, remarry & grow old together. Well, that's a glimpse of me. Well....where to start? I guess you could say I'm a girly-girl and tomboy rolled into one. I like going shopping and getting dressed up, painting my nails and messing with my hair, but I also have no problem getting my hands dirty, working on my house. I'm a pretty independent woman. I bought my home a couple years ago and have been having fun updating it and making it my own. Also, because of the not-so-great economy, my mom lives with me. On my off time, I enjoy fishing, cooking, hockey games, reading, concerts, shopping, movies...just like everyone else. lol I have a great sense of humor, can be a little bit of a smarta** at times, and I love to laugh. I try to see the brighter side of life and try not to take life or myself too seriously. And, since it seems to be a big deal with some guys, I do have a tattoo and have plans to get one or two more. I have no problem if you have tattoos. As for what I'm looking for....Someone who is fun, and I can laugh with. Someone who isn't intimidated by the fact that I am independent. I not a woman who has a problem with a "guys night out". Family has to be important to you. Sharing some of the same interests as I do would be nice but we don't have to be glued at the hip. I may sound really witchy saying this, but...if you send me a message along the lines of "Hey baby (or sexy, honey, sweetie, etc.) I probably won't answer.
