I am not sure I'm "sold" on the whole "online dating" thing. It seems to come with such a crazy amount of pre-concieved notions and expectations. Buuuttt... I am an eternal optimist, so am hoping that there is someone out there who shares my same view of it, lol! That "meeting" is not necessarily "dating", and that a dating site could be used as a way to meet interesting people you might not have otherwise met, and get to know them a little. Not necessarily hook up for casual, unfulfilling and probably at least slightly awkward ... encounters.... so to speak. Nor to plan future children and bathroom paint colour schemes on "date" #2. :PI have tried the online deal before, met some interesting people, but nothing seemed to really spark. Either that or conversations essentially went nowhere, sticking to the realm of the safe, and frankly, somewhat boring. So I propose (ha!) a shift in perspective. How about we talk to each other just as people meeting for the first time....? Sounds crazy, I know, but stay with me here... We could get to know each other a little just as people, no pretense, and THEN decide if dating was worth trying, perhaps? Does that sound crazy..?? Totally, completely, out-of-this-world bizarre..?? :DSo if this sounds slightly less-than crazy to you, drop me a line. Maybe we can grab a coffee/drink/whatever. I'm not much for chatting a whole lot online, simply because typing annoys me after awhile, lol. clickclickclick... blech. :PIf I don't respond, please don't be offended. I have had unresponded-to messages too. It really is ok, you don't want someone who isn't into you enough to respond, right? Nobody wants that. :) Caveat: MUST love dogs. Seriously. mustmustmust. uh... first "meet", you mean..? ;)
