About Me

And if you know the rest of my headline, that's a good start... ;)Let's mix this up and get away from some wall of text and *** a list of important things to know. Ideally, I'm looking for someone who shares many of these qualities/interests, but a good connection and just feeling comfortable with someone are the real keys.1. I'm honest, straightforward, and communicative and these are also the most important things I look for in a partner. This also means that I don't play games with people and I appreciate the same in return.2. I'm a good mix between being laid back and having a relaxing night just hanging out at home or out with friends and being adventurous and spontaneous.3. I enjoy playing volleyball, basketball, and bowling and watching a large variety of sports. Someone who would like to attend Royals, Lancers, and Husker games every now and then would be a plus...and the tailgating that goes with it, of course. :) Don't worry though, while I enjoy sports, I don't plan anything in my life around such things.4. I'm somewhat artistic. Everything from projects for my nieces rooms to tattoo designs for friends and the occasional attempt to play the guitar. Speaking of...5. Music is a huge part of my life. It has a way of expressing every emotion you could have. I listen to all types, but rock and hip-hop are my favorites.6, I do a boot camp style workout at least 5 times a week, and eat healthy, trying to get the rest of the way in shape. It's important that any partner would be healthy, or at least working towards that as I am. However, I don't let it control my life and definitely still enjoy a trip out for pizza or drink beer while playing volleyball.7. I have a nerdy side and enjoy sci-fi shows, occasional video games, and probably know too much about super heroes. I don't have any costumes or Star Wars bed sheets though, and am completely functional in social settings. :)8. I also have a romantic side and understand what it means to be a gentleman. 9. I love to travel as much as possible, whether that's a quick weekend getaway at the spur of the moment, or a big trip to somewhere exotic.10. I'm confident in who I am, and what you see is what you get. I'm intelligent, funny, and hard working. I'm happy in my life and am financially, socially, and emotionally stable. I'm not looking for someone to complete me, I'm looking for someone to complement me that I click with and have fun with to add to an already great life.

    I am a single dad to 2 boys. They are 11 and 6. They are pretty cool to be around and we have a great time together!I have a great job downtown working with some of the best co-workers I've ever been around. I've been with my company for almost 17 years and in my current area for over 12 years. I am a huge sports fan and enjoy football, baseball, volleyball, tennis and golf. Lucky for me, my boys are really getting into sports too...creates some interesting conversations and activites around the house! Everything becomes a game or feat of athletic prowess. In order for each of us to feel comfortable and relaxed, it is essential that we find something in common to do. Dinner is great as long as it is someplace where we can hear each other talk. The movie thing is not too good for a first date. A first date should be about getting to know each other. Maybe meeting for a drink or visiting the Art Center or Historical Building where we can walk and talk.
