Wow is this online dating tough or what? I think the hardest part of this is knowing how to approach someone for a conversation. It hasn't helped coming out of a long relationship and being totally clueless on what to do anymore, or where the local spots are now. So here I am hoping to meet someone really special, and worth everything I will do for them. Being raised by a single mom, has taught me just what you ladies go through, and I have so much respect for you single moms. Even more so now that I have my daughter with me full time, and I'm loving every second of it.Here is the part I'm not looking forward to, talking about myself. I'm a very confident man in every aspect of life. I work hard, I'm loyal, faithful, honest, romantic, affectionate, dependable, and one of the funniest people you could ever be around. The two things all my friends seem to comment about me is about my personality, and sense of humor, I can't explain it you would have to see it for yourself. ***has been such a great year for me, after battling through the worst 3 years any parent could ever imagine. Its a wonder how adversity can define who you are as a person, and coming out of that I found out who I am, and what kind of parent/man I had become. I'm not the type of person to tell you I'm the best option you could meet if your wanting a real relationship, but what I will say is I wont disappoint you if you are interested.the things I enjoy doing is watching football, college basketball, dinning out, tattoos, shooting pool, concerts, finding new music, going on a nice hike, finding things to make memories with my daughter, and my close circle of friends. What I would like to add to this list is someone so awesome that they are part of those memories being made. The things I enjoy doing within a relationship is cuddling up on a couch watching a movie together, cooking meals together (yes I'm a good cook), doing things my woman likes to do (except shopping), I want to be a best friend, a lover, provider, and a life partner. I truly believe this is still out there some where. I also believe that communication, trust, and respect are the three most important pieces to this.What would I want in a woman. Lets see if I can explain this LOL. I would like to find someone who wont push me away when I'm trying to be close to them, and give me some of that effort in return. I truly give my all in every aspect of a relationship, just never can find it in return. things I don't want is someone who has a drug addiction or drinking problem. I never knew how hard that was to deal with, but I know I don't want my child to see any more of that life style than she has already seen. I would like someone who is looking to work together in every thing we could do, so we always view each other as an equal.So if this is something that would interest you please send me an ***, just so I know there is some interest. I hate feeling like I'm bothering someone who isn't interested. Okay, After awhile on here I have decided to expand on who/what I am and who/what I am searching for. It is amazing how many profiles I have read on this site that all sound the same. It is if we all have the same little writing gnome living in the backs of our brains. I consider myself to be an attractive, intelligent, active, normal man. the attractive part is up to you to decide but I am confident in myself so that is all that really matters. I am a transplanted New Yorker, so if you have issues with that or you still refer to me as a yankee, Please move on... I believe in diversity so if you are a racist, Please move on... I have ZERO TOLORENCE for that. Intelligence is a must for me and no, education does not predicate intelligence, the world is full of educated idiots. If you are a bible thumping republican, Please, with ALL DUE RESPECT, move on... I am not the one for you. I believe in moving forward, Not regressing to the stone age...And NO, I have no problem with people of faith, I just respectfully decline to agree with you. I believe that if your belief in a higher being makes your life better, Great!, just don't try to change my mind. We can have all the discussions you want, but if my surrogate father, who is a presbyterian minister, could not change my mind, then you have no chance... I love to cook and experiment with new things. I have a great family and friends who mean the world to me and spend most of my time with them when I am not working, we are very close. And will continue to be so..I am a chef in a very popular restaurant And I love my job. I am a person who stays up to date on current events and politics, so if you like to have a conversation about those topics, Then that, is the best way to drink a bottle of petite syrah with some seared sea bass bites...so blah, blah, blah and whosie-whatsie... Well truth is it would seem that dating is a lost art. I would say it depends on the two people involved, common interests and such. I will say that a movie is a horrible first date!

I am looking forward to giving this try. I just ended a long term marriage so I am looking forward to meeting new people. Frankly, having a conversation that doesn't involve' bugs, cartoons, or why bodily functions are funny sounds good to me. Not sure what to expect from this website but I have my fingers crossed. I have 2 wonderful kids that are my world. I love my job. I look forward to work everyday. It's challenging and rewarding at the same time. I am easy going. Life is too short to hold a grudge or be stressed out. Chivalry is not dead. Considering this is online dating I think it is perfectly acceptable for a woman to send the first message after reading a profile.
