It would be nice to meet someone with common interests and goals that is grounded, funny, and wants to enjoy life. Something casual and not all out. It's a chance to meet and say hello. If there is chemistry then a second date would be the one to describe! I feel most comfortable with a phone conversation before meeting. I think you can get a feel for each other that way and get some of the basics out of the way.
