Looking for: man. In age: 43-53
At the end of the day, life's experiences and accomplishments are best enjoyed with the people in your life. I am at a place and time where I am totally comfortable in my own skin and grateful for all that I have in my life, both materially and spiritually. I love my job, have been blessed with great family and friends, and have begun a new chapter in my life after raising my children and setting them free to go out into the world..... Now me. Not selfishly, but selflessly as I have always done for others and put myself on the back burner. Time to venture out and see the world myself, meet new people, experience the unknown. And I would very much like to have someone to share with....

Yuck! I hate essay questions. And I'm not good at writing long, flowery speeches that nobody's interested in reading. Sigh..OK,here we go: I'm a single mom ***yr old boy. I work full-time in retail. I'm not necessarily looking to get married although I've never tried it. I've heard it's not so awful- depends who you ask, I suppose. I'm just looking for that "right" someone who is willing to put up with me for the next few whatevers. I'm not interested in the bar scene - been there/done that - I'm sure that it's pretty much the way I left it. I'm a Recovering alcoholic ***yrs. If you're a weekend-warrior ( or weekday), I'm not interested. An occasional, social drink is fine. You know which one you are. I'm very comfortable with quiet nights at home, watching TV or a movie, although I would NEVER miss an opportunity for a dinner out. I like pretty much anything on the radio but Country and RAP. I'm not into soaps - day or night-time. I don't really have any "hobbies". I'm saving that for when I'm REALLY old, my son is grown and I'm retired - so, probably not any time soon. I usually watch stuff like the news, HGTV, HLN, TMZ, Investigation Discovery, History Channel ...I guess my hobby is knowing what's going on. ; ) First Date?Ok - anywhere and anything I don't have to pick up at the grocery store, cook ,and clean up after. Sounds good.

Okie dokie...to be successful it says to ***talk about my hobbies...animals, decorating, art, vintage, repurposing stuff, walking, reading ***talk about my goals..I'd be happy to live till I retire and then some.... ***talk about yourself and what makes you unique..hmmm..If we are ALL unique, then none of us are really unique, right? I guess I'm very young spirited but mature...LOVE animals & try to help them (feed strays, rescue, etc...) Since helping an animal gets you nothing physical or monetary in return, I do think it is a good characteristic in a human being. ***Music...I'm flexible. I listen to K-LOVE normally, but I like pop, and even some hard rock (KISS) ALSO..here is another thing about me..I am really "upfront". I've learned in my old age (and yea, I know I'm old) that sometimes you have to look in the mirror and say "I'M GREEDY, I'M OLD, I'M FOOLISH, I'M FAT"..or WHATEVER the issue may be...and literally become disgusted with yourself..and either ACCEPT it or CHANGE it. But don't live in DENIAL about it...I see too many men in my age group posing with no shirts (WHY???) with beer guts hanging out stating they have an "athletic" build. In what universe?? In this area, I'd say 1% of men over the age of 35 actually have an "athletic" build (which means your waist is at least 10" smaller than your chest and you are muscular and toned) No one is perfect..I don't expect it or want it and its too hard to maintain..but I do think we should try to take care of ourselves and there has to be mutual physical attraction. It is SUCH a double standard that women need to look like "Barbie" but men can look like crap and we just have to suck it up and deal with it. NOTE: Also, if you live further than an hour (approx) away from me, UNLESS you plan on doing all the driving, I doubt it's going to work out. It's just too difficult to date someone who can't really "be there" for you for the little things...good luck to everyone. After a first meeting (which should be brief and in public) I think the "date" should be something agreed on by both parties. If you don't have a pic, I won't respond. Good luck. Also, I may not get on here except for once a week or so; therefore, if you want me to get in touch w/you please leave another way (i.e. texting?)
