This really isn't as easy as it looks is it?!?! Everytime I think I've come up with something clever and witty I sound like I'm either answering interview questions or describing my dog but I don't want to sound like everyone else lol. Sigh...According to my family and friends I am an amazing person (but I think they're supposed to say that lol). No I'm not a doctor but I do sing professionally (I'm not bad but not the best either)--my main genres are blues and classic rock but as long as it's good music I'm in. Intelligent although I've done some amazingly stupid things in my life. Ambitious but not to the point it takes over all other aspects of my life. A bit of a class clown at times but serious when the occasion calls. Yes I am aware these are only sentence fragments but I believe they get the point across.Most people are taken with my sparkling wit and charming personality (self-promotion bit). I have a wonderful family who is truly the cornerstone of my life.These few brief sentences may not be much but it's virtually impossible to outline yourself in a few paragraphs and why sell myself short? Easy-going, grounded, good sense of humor, and on the intellectual side are fair self-descriptors. I love my work but it is not my life. I'm a realist; and still manage to be positive... I might choose a nice log cabin in the mountains by a lake over a crowded beach unless the crowded beach is the entry point for scuba diving. This is not to say I haven't jet down to cabo for some R&R. I just head for the less crowded areas of beach. I have come to deeply appreciate simple pleasures like taking my dog to the dog park, growing my own vegetables and watching shadows on the landscape as the sun sets. I want to remain as healthy as possible, so I eat fairly healthy and workout. I tend to read quite a bit and like staying current on world events. I love family despite their dysfunction... lol... and believe in the golden rule. I communicate honesty my likes and needs, won't judge nor try to change what anyone else likes and needs. I value depth in relationships and love learning about other people's life journey to-date. Learning about wine and food pairing has been a fun hobby, and by no means am I an expert, but I try.. I hike in the Sierras with my dog and love anything outdoors, including a backyard picnic. Other likes include live music, comedy theatre, travel, entertaining, cooking, scuba, swimming, exploring. I hope to meet a college-educated, unpretentious, healthy man. I have stepchildren who are now grown. I loved helping to raise children, and look forward to learning about yours if you have children, and if you do not that is fine too.
