I'm a very passionate, deep thinking person. I value people and learning new things. I won't ask for anything that I'm not willing to give. I abhor inequity and will always fight for the underdog. I spent 20 year of my life doing something that I didn't really want to do and then changed careers "mid-life" to finally follow my passion. So, I'm in a really good place now and finally doing something meaningful that I also love. I love being a mom and am at once terrified and elated that my girls are getting ready to "leave the nest". They're amazing people and very important to me. I've been through a few relationships - each with their own unique positives and negatives and all of them have helped me grow tremendously as a person. Now I want to find someone I can settle in with. Life is unpredictable. I don't want to spend whatever is left of it alone. Right now, I really just want to find someone I can hang with, talk to about anything - someone who has some time and wants to spend it with me. I want to focus on friendship first. I have always told my girls, "Marry your best friend". It's so important. I want someone who doesn't have the kind of baggage that keeps them from moving forward and living life. I want someone who understands the value of time - who is self-confident, enjoys what they're doing, realizes that life isn't all about work, and also values relationships. I'm trying to be present in my own life, so I want to be with someone who is present as well. I can handle intense, but I'm trying to be more easy going - so if you are that would be great! I have a good group of friends, so hopefully you like meeting new people. I also like hanging with my kids occasionally, so hopefully you don't mind teenagers. I can just as easily sit around at home and watch TV or go out for dinner and drinks and prefer to have a little of both in my week. I'm a talker and a listener - very "open book". I'm definitely a people person and although I can talk to anyone, I prefer to fill my life with "real" people.
