Hello. Thank you for stopping by. I guess I should start by saying that I would love to meet someone like myself, who is quite comfortable in their own skin. I can wear a t-shirt and jeans and enjoy happy hour at a sports bar and just as easily dress to the nines and go out for an evening of dinner and opera tickets at the Broward Center.-pod. Currently I am reading three different novels, a steam punk, futuristic story, a steamy romance novel and the life story of Einstein. )I love old world charm and manners, and being treated like a lady. I love to garden, can cook, am trying to remain consistent with going to the gym( hired a personal trainer!) and love animals. I have rescued 2 dogs , three birds and have been adopted by the stray cat outside my front door. I believe that the love that you give returns to you tenfold with animals.I feel pretty happy with the direction I am going in, I have a great job, great friends, a wonderful family. Currently I am working on renovation projects in my home but close to being finished, but are you ever really finished? beginning to think not, long sigh.......just kidding, it's actually fun seeing the results of your hard work in the finished product! I try to be open minded about most things, and am willing to at least try something before deciding against it. I don't like dishonesty or people who are committed to someone else, playing the field behind their backs. If you are not free to enter into a fun, casual date with me , please don't respond.I like to think that I'm pretty, long blonde hair, blue eyes, and tall 5'10.I like to wear heels, so please be tall or okay with a taller woman walking beside you.-fi. I am looking for occasional, interesting dates with someone who shares the same interests.; To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable; and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly....to listen to stars and buds, to babes and sages, with open heart; await occasions, hurry never....this is my symphony." Beautifully stated and my philosophy of life as well. I think something interesting, how about lunch and a visit to a local museum or art gallery? Or a walk down the local shops on Los Olas?

This Plenty of Fish is really a crap shoot, isn't it? Well... here goes!A little about myself: I am a very physically active and intellectually curious person. I love the outdoors and anything related to the ocean. I exercise every day. I enjoy walking, jogging, aerobics, biking, hiking, camping, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and canoeing. I live close to the ocean and never get sick of the beach.I'm not much into shopping, unless it's vintage clothing stores and thrift shops. I love retro fashion, and have been told I resemble Bettie Page. I am into tiki culture and exotica music. In fact, I have quite a vinyl lp collection, which I will never get rid of. Call me "old school" if you will; I prefer the terms "classic" or "retro"I am a teacher. I love my work. That's very important to me. But after 12 years I'm ready to shift into a new direction so I am studying to be a holistic health coach. I am a vegan and I believe that good health and vitality begins with food. My health and my quality of life is very important to me, so I take very good care of myself. I eat very thoughtfully and I exercise every day.I love animals and feel that we share a common bond with them. I have one dog and three cats. If animals are not your thing, you probably wouldn't feel comfortable at my place.I believe that individual people can affect great change. I enjoy gardening, landscaping, and habitat restoration.I love camping more than staying in a resort hotel. But don't let my outdoors enthusiasm fool you. Who says you can't have the best of both worlds? My ideal man would be someone who is educated (I'll let you define what that means), and stable. I don't care about your income, just as long as you have a job. I'd prefer a man who loves the work he does. When we have a passion for our work, everything else seems to be at peace. He should be physically fit. Yes, it matters to me as much as I'm sure it matters to you guys. I'd like someone who enjoys working out, not seeing exercise as a chore. I would love to meet someone who likes jogging, biking, swimming, snorkeling, diving, and other water sports. If you go to the gym, even better. But what good the brawn if no brain? My match would enjoy stimulating conversation. He would be turned off by a female who doesn't have anything substantial to talk about. If he's looking for a botoxed, high maintenance, airhead type, I'm not his gal. I chose to tell the truth about my age. I am proud of being 50, mostly because I have kept myself in really good shape and I like how people react when I tell them my age. Truth be told, I look and feel better now than I did 15 years ago. Also, I'm not interested in a man who only wants to date much younger women. Can't we judge people by other means than their age? How 'bout mileage? Um, ok, maybe not!I think chemistry is important. I know it immediately. If it's not there, it's not there and we should move on, no hard feelings. But if there is chemistry... let's see where that takes us! A first date would, of course, be coffee (or other beverage of choice). We'll see if there are any sparks. I highly believe in sparks. If there is chemistry, then the time and place of a second date won't really matter. All that really matters is a place where we could talk and get to know each other a little better. I am a vegan so going out to Red Lobster or Outback Steak House is out of the question. I watch what I eat and maintain my figure, so Cheesecake Factory is also out of the question. However, I know of some fantastic vegan restaurants where we could enjoy the pleasure of really delicious, healthy food and enjoy stimulating conversation. Candlelight is optional, but a bottle of wine would be a nice touch!
