Words to live by: Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.. Life is beauty, admire it... Life is a dream, realize it.. Life is a challenge, meet it.. Life is a duty, complete it.. Life is a game, play it.. Life is a promise, fulfill it.. Life is sorrow, overcome it.. Life is a song, sing it.. Life is a struggle, accept it.. Life is a tragedy, confront it.. Life is an adventure, dare it. Life is luck, make it.. Life is too precious, do not destroy it.. Life is a gift from God, cherish it and don't waste a single moment of it. I'm not sure what to say here, if I tell the truth no one believes it, if I lie then it will be found out. I'm gonna try the honest way first.... who knows, maybe there's one person out there who appreciates it.I'm an ordinary woman, I love, love, ABSOLUTELY LOVE to go fishing, clams on the bbq, most days when I'm not at work I'm barefoot in shorts. I'm simple and ordinary. I enjoy comfortable silence, country music, love dancing in the rain (seriously) and i'm addicted to the tv show The Walking Dead. I'm very independent and I can be quite opinionated (thats the NY in me), I hope you are too even if we disagree. I'm definitely not insecure, I don't need a man in my life but it sure would be nice to have one. I'm also not looking to serial date and see how many free meals I can get, I could never do that, I am fine with meeting and going dutch! I am a brutally honest type of person. :-) did I mention I like to go fishing? :- I am experiencing quite a bit of culture shock but I'm sure over time that will ease up, in some ways it already has. Please be patient with me if we meet, I am going from a nonstop workaholic lifestyle to the laid back slower pace here, I get a little antsy at times and just don't know what to do with myself (so I go fishing, A LOT!!!; I am not looking to increase my number of sexual partners exponentially so if you're looking for a quickie or even a regular friend with benefits then it is best that you continue your search because I am not the right one for you. I have old school values. If you like fishing (I'm addicted to fishing LOL), good conversation, quiet weeknights at home, spending ALL weekend fishing and long road trips to nowhere then take a chance, ya never know.I do hope that is enough for now, does anyone ever read these anyway? lol The perfect first date would be the one that NEVER ends. :)

I'm just a simple girl, living a simply lifestyle. I have a very witty personality and enjoy the company of others who can find the positive side in life. It would be great to find someone that I have things in common with, but at the same time, it would be wonderful to find someone new that can teach me new things that would get me out of my comfort zone. I learned along time ago that you're wasting your time when you start trying to change people. I love my life and I am very happy, but wouldnt mind finding Mr. Right either. I am creative, athletic and 100% at peace with who I am and I know exactly what I want out of life. I will know when I meet the right guy!

This Plenty of Fish is really a crap shoot, isn't it? Well... here goes!A little about myself: I am a very physically active and intellectually curious person. I love the outdoors and anything related to the ocean. I exercise every day. I enjoy walking, jogging, aerobics, biking, hiking, camping, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and canoeing. I live close to the ocean and never get sick of the beach.I'm not much into shopping, unless it's vintage clothing stores and thrift shops. I love retro fashion, and have been told I resemble Bettie Page. I am into tiki culture and exotica music. In fact, I have quite a vinyl lp collection, which I will never get rid of. Call me "old school" if you will; I prefer the terms "classic" or "retro"I am a teacher. I love my work. That's very important to me. But after 12 years I'm ready to shift into a new direction so I am studying to be a holistic health coach. I am a vegan and I believe that good health and vitality begins with food. My health and my quality of life is very important to me, so I take very good care of myself. I eat very thoughtfully and I exercise every day.I love animals and feel that we share a common bond with them. I have one dog and three cats. If animals are not your thing, you probably wouldn't feel comfortable at my place.I believe that individual people can affect great change. I enjoy gardening, landscaping, and habitat restoration.I love camping more than staying in a resort hotel. But don't let my outdoors enthusiasm fool you. Who says you can't have the best of both worlds? My ideal man would be someone who is educated (I'll let you define what that means), and stable. I don't care about your income, just as long as you have a job. I'd prefer a man who loves the work he does. When we have a passion for our work, everything else seems to be at peace. He should be physically fit. Yes, it matters to me as much as I'm sure it matters to you guys. I'd like someone who enjoys working out, not seeing exercise as a chore. I would love to meet someone who likes jogging, biking, swimming, snorkeling, diving, and other water sports. If you go to the gym, even better. But what good the brawn if no brain? My match would enjoy stimulating conversation. He would be turned off by a female who doesn't have anything substantial to talk about. If he's looking for a botoxed, high maintenance, airhead type, I'm not his gal. I chose to tell the truth about my age. I am proud of being 50, mostly because I have kept myself in really good shape and I like how people react when I tell them my age. Truth be told, I look and feel better now than I did 15 years ago. Also, I'm not interested in a man who only wants to date much younger women. Can't we judge people by other means than their age? How 'bout mileage? Um, ok, maybe not!I think chemistry is important. I know it immediately. If it's not there, it's not there and we should move on, no hard feelings. But if there is chemistry... let's see where that takes us! A first date would, of course, be coffee (or other beverage of choice). We'll see if there are any sparks. I highly believe in sparks. If there is chemistry, then the time and place of a second date won't really matter. All that really matters is a place where we could talk and get to know each other a little better. I am a vegan so going out to Red Lobster or Outback Steak House is out of the question. I watch what I eat and maintain my figure, so Cheesecake Factory is also out of the question. However, I know of some fantastic vegan restaurants where we could enjoy the pleasure of really delicious, healthy food and enjoy stimulating conversation. Candlelight is optional, but a bottle of wine would be a nice touch!
