Now that my children are older, I can invest the time into getting to know you. I only ask that you are willing to put forth the same effort as well. I am over my ex...lol...have minimal baggage and know what direction I want to take in my life. I love deep, intimate conversation. I love the outdoors, camping in a tent, bonfires with a cold beer in hand, being in/on the water, quadding and sledding with my family. LOVE fishing and have no issues with baiting my own hook...lol.. I even have some mad skills in the kitchen. Surprisingly, I can operate all power tools (I even own them) and can read a tape measure. Yes, I can even tackle my own home improvement projects..lol. It would be great to have someone join in the fun with me. I enjoy many types of music, but ahhh, weren't the classic rock tunes of the 80's just the best :-) I do have a passion for motorcycles and love to ride (yep, I have my own...lol) It would be a bonus if that is an activity that I could share with you. If not, than I would happy to participate in something that you enjoy. Recently I was told by a random stranger that REAL woman don't ride motorcycles...huh? I promise you, I'm as real as it gets. I love to travel and try to hit a warm destination ever year or two. There are serious bonus points for those of you that enjoy a good game of cribbage!I think I'm looking for what we are all looking for, the real deal! An electric connection, I still believe that is possible, even at my age. The man whom is one of my first thoughts in the morning and one of the last thoughts before bed. The one I can wait to get home to each day, looking forward to that kiss when I walk in the door. You would be HONEST, kind, faithful, loyal, patient, passionate, understanding and have a great sense of humor...preferrably not one to "sweat the small stuff".     Some of my closest friends are in my life because I took the chance and said "hi" to a stranger. So, I am putting myself out there to try to meet some new friends without hanging out in the bar scene! Looking for someone to go to a game with or watch one at a friendly pub. A dinner companion with great conversation and a good sence of humor would be a nice evening also. I listen to all types of music, and equally enjoy attending the Theatre or the Zoo. I much perfer the heat and beaches of the Dominican Republic, or even a beautiful warm day hiking in Banff or fishing along the Bow River. I am just a few months away from being an empty nester, but have a home with 2 Golden Retrievers and 3 cats. Aside from a part time job in healthcare, and having my own business, I am involved in volunteer work, and try to give my time to help others when I can. Although I am very strong and independant, I also enjoy walking hand in hand with a warm and caring man to share with him the softness of being a woman. I myself, will no doubt, be full of nervous anticipation of meeting for a first date. Likely meet at a resturant or pub, or a stroll through the zoo. Lots of talking, smiling and laughter as we get to know each other and hopefully grow more at ease. I guess where we met for this wonderful date, would depend on what happens next. ie afternoon at the zoo may lead to dinner. If we don't hit it off so well, we go our separate ways and wish each other all the best and goodness that life has to offer. If we do hit it off great, then we make plans to see each other again and see where life takes us.
