Some of my closest friends are in my life because I took the chance and said "hi" to a stranger. So, I am putting myself out there to try to meet some new friends without hanging out in the bar scene! Looking for someone to go to a game with or watch one at a friendly pub. A dinner companion with great conversation and a good sence of humor would be a nice evening also. I listen to all types of music, and equally enjoy attending the Theatre or the Zoo. I am comfortable in a dress and high heels or jeans and a t-shirt. I do not like the cold, winter months. I much perfer the heat and beaches of the Dominican Republic, or even a beautiful warm day hiking in Banff or fishing along the Bow River. I am just a few months away from being an empty nester, but have a home with 2 Golden Retrievers and 3 cats. Aside from a part time job in healthcare, and having my own business, I am involved in volunteer work, and try to give my time to help others when I can. Although I am very strong and independant, I also enjoy walking hand in hand with a warm and caring man to share with him the softness of being a woman. I myself, will no doubt, be full of nervous anticipation of meeting for a first date. Likely meet at a resturant or pub, or a stroll through the zoo. Lots of talking, smiling and laughter as we get to know each other and hopefully grow more at ease. I guess where we met for this wonderful date, would depend on what happens next. ie afternoon at the zoo may lead to dinner. If we don't hit it off so well, we go our separate ways and wish each other all the best and goodness that life has to offer. If we do hit it off great, then we make plans to see each other again and see where life takes us.

    Even though I have made mistakes like most people, I can say I danced in the rain for the majority of my life and have experiences that might be considered unique to some people. I find as I get older I really do get wiser and become more easy going and stronger (mentally and physically like a spartan lol) with every life experience. Fitness and a healthy lifestyle is an important aspect in my life not only to be healthy but also because I have a weakness for sweets and chocolate. I will in about another year be living in an empty nest. My goal is to retire one day (that will likely be few years for the both us since you won't be more than a few years older; but we could start dreaming about it) with a travelling partner and someone who is lives healthy and financially stable to have fun in the retirement years and cross off that bucket list. I enjoy many activities such as mountain biking/cycling, boating/canoeing, river tubing and hiking in the mountains. I have recently found a new interest of spartan races and have found training for it really does make a person more stronger physically and mentally. I do enjoy sledding but haven't done that for years now. I am always open to try new things. One thing I think would be fun is to learn ballroom dancing. My partner might need steel toed boots though at the beginning. In the meantime I will keep doing zumba. I do enjoy the latin music. For those of you that don't have pictures posted. In the interest of disclosure, I would like to admit that I am a human being who has chips and imperfections. My sense of humor is somewhat dry and often twisted. While I believe in marraige and long term relationships, this is not the time for me. I am very independant, and am not looking to be taken care of, but rather a person to share time with.
