OK...a few random thoughts about me. I am looking for companionship and some fun that could lead to something more serious. I really enjoy relationships and the richness they have to offer. I am interested in meeting you & discovering what makes you tick and adding value to your life in some way.After a few years of dating I've noticed that I'm at my best if I'm with someone who is laid back, physically affectionate, and willing to draw me out a bit (not that it is that hard, but I appreciate the effort). I connect well with people who have a sharp sense of humor, are well read, and like to play around with ideas...but somehow don't take themselves too seriously. I have a pretty strong sense for the aesthetic. Food, theater, music (I'm drawn to alternative/folk rock) that has subtlety mixed in with the right company is a definite turn on. Getting lost in sensory appeal for a while is a great way to escape for a bit and chill out...don't you think?I'm not a hardbody or some triathaloner...but I like to be active. When there isn't a blizzard going on, I like to hike trails. And in the summer, the kids and I live at the beach...swimming, climbing stones, exploring the eddies, making sand art.I am a librarian at a school, and recently earned my my administrative degree. I like schools and think about how to improve them a lot. I love hanging out with people who enjoy what they do or are feeling good about what they would like to try next...I have three kids under 14. They are funny, intelligent, creative...good company. You don't have to want to parent them, and in fact, very few people I've dated have met them, but somehow I'll know if you cringe when you hear them sword fighting while were on the phone. They keep me busy; yes, I'm the woman pulling up to the stop light drinking coffee as I brush my hair, throwing granola bars and toothbrushes to the backseat as we drive to school. The kids stay with their Dad every other weekend which is how I get my free time.Things are peaceful around here, but all work and no play makes mom a bit crabby. :) Go for dinner, drink wine, and laugh a lot...it is not what we do, but how we connect as we do it.

I like to go on long walks, enjoy nature, read, watch movies & go out to lunch with friends. I've been a single parent of 3 active kids for 7 years, working hard to be there for them so they can enjoy things I never was able to when I was a kid. We don't buy all the latest gadgets & try to keep things somewhat simple, but enjoy spending time together in our cozy, warm home & love to entertain by inviting friends & family over often.My faith is important to me . . . we attend church weekly & attend various church events throughout the year. I lead 2 faith based after school clubs & enjoy growing in my faith as I teach kids to be disciples of Jesus. My kids are active in both their church & school youth groups as well as athletics. In this family, we love soccer!! Two of my kids play pretty much year round (indoor & outdoor) and my oldest plays volleyball & is considering trying out for soccer this year too.My parents had 4 children & are divorced. My mom remarried & had to additional children, therefore, I am the oldest of 6, We regularly get together with family for holidays, birthdays & more. I work as a office manager at a church (not the one we attend) & love handling all the aspects of the office, especially the creative projects, flyers, newsletters, etc. I really enjoy my job & love the perk that it's only 2 blocks from my home. I also work part time for a Christian agency that melds my love of working with the youth & leadership. My responsibilities include planning lessons & teaching kids about the word of God while having fun.I mostly listen to Christian Radio, but occasionally listen to the top ***thanks to my kids). We have several radio's in our home that are left on 24 hours a day playing Christian music. We are the type of people that need a radio on to fall asleep! All of my kids have played *** & enjoy singing (even if just for fun). I aspire to be a better parent tomorrow than I am today & to one day again be a part of a loving, committed, faithful, trusting relationship with a core foundation focused on good communication, mutual respect & love. ? A quiet dinner so it's condusive to talking, getting to know each other. Maybe doing something fun like mini-golf, laser tag, even bowling (I'm not very good btw). I'd also enjoy going on a walk (nature center, beach or around the neighborhood), something that may inspire more things to talk about.
