About Me

I recently moved to the area…a transplant from SoCal. I grew up and spent most of my life in the beach cities outside of L.A. Although it was a beautiful place to grow up, I am thrilled about my new adventure up here in the PNW. I chose this area as I have family that has lived up here for the past 15 years. Additionally, I love the outdoors….driving, hiking, camping, spending time outside.Up through this past June, I worked 16 years as a teacher and *** at an elementary school. I look forward to exploring an alternative career path in health and wellness. Moving up here and recreating my life has given me the opportunity to make finding someone and creating a healthy relationship a priority. I’ve done the work. I’m extremely reflective. I believe most, if not all relationships, take communication, compassion, flexibility, and compromise. I’m sure I missed something….I’m open to learning and growing.I’m on this site to meet someone that I can connect with.     This whole dating thing is certainly an adventure, but I would LOVE to get off this site :)I love most types of music! I play the flute and piano professionally.     My more recent photo's are taken before a concert I took my two sons to. I rarely let my hair down as this picture represents, not my usual style, although it keeps me young at heart.I like to be outdoors, I like to soak in the sun, swim, and ski. Anything that has to do with the water is good with me!!!! I love to camp, and fish. I want to purchase a boat but just haven't taken the plunge yet. I enjoy doing activities with my kids. My children are my life so kids have to be an acceptable and desired factor in any interested parties. I have a psych degree but work as a Risk Analyst, go figure. I really like what I do for a living! There is always something to learn!! I understand the value and importance of responsibility, but being irresponsible intermittently is a necessity - to keep the balance!! :-) My match is responsible but flexible, insightful but fricken funny, doesn't sweat the small stuff, wants to have fun and be active. Seriously though all the above is important, but if the chemistry is not there, it just aint gonna happen baby!! For the first date, something casual, where both parties can make a quick exit if needed! :-) If the audition date went well, I think a great date would be engaging. It allows for some get to know ya time, driving, and then the rides and slides allow for inhibitions to crumble.
