About Me

I recently moved to the area…a transplant from SoCal. I grew up and spent most of my life in the beach cities outside of L.A. Although it was a beautiful place to grow up, I am thrilled about my new adventure up here in the PNW. I chose this area as I have family that has lived up here for the past 15 years. Additionally, I love the outdoors….driving, hiking, camping, spending time outside.Up through this past June, I worked 16 years as a teacher and *** at an elementary school. I look forward to exploring an alternative career path in health and wellness. Moving up here and recreating my life has given me the opportunity to make finding someone and creating a healthy relationship a priority. I’ve done the work. I’m extremely reflective. I believe most, if not all relationships, take communication, compassion, flexibility, and compromise. I’m sure I missed something….I’m open to learning and growing.I’m on this site to meet someone that I can connect with. I believe I am: positive, peaceful, encouraging, reflective, have integrity, hopeful, flexible, good listener, compassionate, strong sense of self, empathetic, passionate….as well, I know where I need extra support and have to keep an eye on myself.     Hmmmm ... about me?... here we go ... Well for starters, like you, I am on this site to meet new people and to hopefully have some new experiences. For the most part, I spend my leisure time with friends and family and I have two children who I love to spend time with because they remind me about all the great stuff I forgot about back in grade school! I share them equally with their father, so while I am still in parenting mode, I do have time for someone special and weekend get aways are my favourite!I try to lead a healthy lifestyle and take care of myself. I also enjoy being stylish but I must admit, I am just as comfortable in a pair of jeans and a T-Shirt as I am in heels, a little black dress or a business suit.I do appreciate a man who has his own sense of style and cares about his appearance.... I am just not sure I want you to take longer to get ready than I do :) If your usual go to is a pair of jeans and a funky pair of runners or shoes then we may just be a fit. I also try and stay as physically active as possible but I am not a die hard athelete. I just believe staying fit keeps your body and spirit young. I am currently enjoying Reebok Crossfit ..."whew"!I love to entertain and cook for my friends and family and I enjoy sipping on red wine over a good conversation. I also enjoy the outdoors and have a passion for travelling, I am always willing to venture off the beaten path and I have explored parts of Europe, Latin America,South East Asia and Australia.I LOVE cottage life in the Summer and going South for some beach time in the Winter.Ultimately, I am looking to find someone who is healthy, happy and at a good place in life.     I am 39, 5'5 blondish hair, blue eyes. I'm divorced with 2 girls, one who's 21 and already out of the house, and the other is 10. I work hard and do everything on my own, but wish I had someone to share my time with.
