I recently moved to the area…a transplant from SoCal. I grew up and spent most of my life in the beach cities outside of L.A. Although it was a beautiful place to grow up, I am thrilled about my new adventure up here in the PNW. I chose this area as I have family that has lived up here for the past 15 years. Additionally, I love the outdoors….driving, hiking, camping, spending time outside.Up through this past June, I worked 16 years as a teacher and *** at an elementary school. I look forward to exploring an alternative career path in health and wellness. Moving up here and recreating my life has given me the opportunity to make finding someone and creating a healthy relationship a priority. I’ve done the work. I’m extremely reflective. I believe most, if not all relationships, take communication, compassion, flexibility, and compromise. I’m sure I missed something….I’m open to learning and growing.I’m on this site to meet someone that I can connect with.     I am a busy mom of four, and most of my time during the week is spent getting my kids where they need to be. I am so proud of them. I learn something from them every day. They inspire me to be a better person and challenge me to live my life in a way that will not only be an example to them, but help them to be successful in their own lives as well. Some of my Favorites:I love to dance and hang out with friends. I am also addicted to road trips. Every summer my kids and I adventure across the country to see new places and meet new people. I have traveled to 46 states and am hoping to see the last 4 by the end of summer ***. I love the mountains-hiking, camping or just having dinner and a campfire in one of the canyons. I always try to make people laugh. The Day My Butt Went Psycho, and Captain Underpants are always a favorite in my house!Movies:Just about anything funny, the dumber the better! I think I like anything except horror films unless they have dark humor in them.Music:It is a toss up between 80's new wave and current hip hop. I just like a great dance beat!Food:I love finding local dives and mom and pop shops. I much prefer taking a risk at a local joint than waiting for an hour at some national chain. Specifically though, I love Sushi and Fresh Mex. I love what I do, and the company I work for. I also work part-time as a receptionist at a pediatric office. I am thinking of going back to school in the Fall. To do what exactly, I have no idea. Life Lesson:I was attacked by a rooster while collecting eggs from my grandpa's chicken coop when I was little. I still remember it as if it were yesterday...In slow motion even. The rooster looked me in the eye and came toward me slowly. I froze, I had nowhere to run. He attacked and I threw all of the eggs in the air and ran. I learned a valuable lesson that day, and have applied it to my life.-- DO NOT make eye contact with a rooster and always know your options for a quick escape. As far as qualities I am looking for in a man:Not much.....Well minus the tragic ending of course...I could never stab myself and besides, I don't think faking your own death ever turns out the way you imagine. I would have chatted with you on line several times and had some great conversations on the phone before we even set a date for the in person meeting.A first date would be something fun and a little adventurous. I am not shy and like to talk, so something that is condusive to communicating is ideal. Maybe a local restaraunt or a fabulous dive cafe. Nothing too serious because I just met you and need time to see if we are dating material.
