I'm a green eyed, red head, Irish Texan....and I'll bet from that you'll never guess which city I grew up in....lol. I'm very active and love to do things outdoors! I own my own home on acreage, have four horses, a pickup and a trailer to haul my horses in. I also have chickens, dogs, cats and fish. I'm a high school special education teacher and love what I do. I work hard so I can play harder. I absolutely love to travel and have many places on my bucket list I have yet to see, although Vegas will always be top on any list (I can never go often enough... Lazy people are a pet peeve of mine...while a quiet evening watching a movie every now and then is great, if your idea of activity is raising your arm to click the TV remote on a consistent basis, then we wont get along! I love to swing dance and two step but it seems like there are more people who say they can but in reality they cant...so if you KNOW how...then that would be fabulous! I'm pretty picky when it comes to music...I only listen to country and christian...heavy metal and rap makes me nauseous...and I'm not real fond of hip hop bubble gum stuff either. I'm pescatarian (best Google that if you're not sure what it is!) so if you like sushi...I know of some amazing sushi places! I'm known to be somewhat random at times, love adventure, and have a good sense of humor....laughing is the best thing ever.**** OK!! UPDATE**** After being on here a couple of months I feel the need to add a few things...first...I am very dedicated to what I do for a living...and I work A LOT. I do make time for the things I want to do...but even sometimes...the things I want to do have to take a back seat to my career...which is VERY important to me. I say 'I'm only interested in dating and nothing serious' for a reason. That being said...IF someone comes along who knocks my world upside down...I'm not opposed to the idea of a relationship...BUT...for now it's not first and foremost on my mind. Second...IF you're throwing your number my direction or asking for mine within the first half dozen *** and forth...I can PROMISE I wont be interested in meeting up, hooking up or hanging out. Finding out about one another and whether we even have enough in common to be friends is far more important to me that meeting up for a date or having a 'text buddy'....thanks...but I teach high school...I'm not IN high school...just saying.... Third...if you only look at pictures and haven't bothered to read my profile...well then I guess that point is mute and you haven't made it this far so I don't need to suggest you read first....I'll just weed you out with the others that ask redundant questions that are already answered in my profile...another 'just saying'.... Fourth, if you don't have a picture...DONT bother clicking 'I want to meet you'....trust me....we wont...and I wont be contacting you either. Common courtesy...I have photos...you need them also. This may sound super shallow...but physical attraction is a huge deal...let me restate that...HUGE deal. I'm old enough and wise enough to be upfront on this one....be realistic and be aware of yourself enough to know whether that is a possibility or not. Please don't be offended if I do not respond...it simply means that I do not believe that we have enough in common or would have the physical chemistry that I would be looking for.....so continuing to send me *** wont change that. I want to be his everything, as he will be mine. I want to be able to come to him with any and all my thoughts and feelings, and know that no matter what, those things matter to him as well. I believe in the man being the man. I am great at being a women, and I need him to be a man. I am a strong woman, but I need him to be strong as well. If I am having a melt down over dishes, then I need for him to hold me, knowing that there is something else that is bothering me. I want to be able to recognize the same in him. When I first left my marriage, I blamed my ex husband for everything. I have learned that is not the case. I am very much aware and healed enough to be able to see the whole thing for what it was. I am at a place in my life where I can appreciate the good things from that time period and have the lessons as well. I have made peace with it. I have taken responsibility for my own part in the fall of that. I am not perfect, not by a long shot, but I try to do my best in everything. I would like to have a healthy relationship, where both partners matter and are taken care of by each other. One in which we only see each other, we are each others cheer leaders.Family is most important to me. I am the mother of 3 amazing kids, (I hope all parents feel this way), whom I love very much. They are my favorite people in the world. My youngest is a senior in High School this coming school year. I am not sure I want to start over with having or being a 'mom' to young children, but maybe. I am much more of a home body then an outdoorsy girl, although, I enjoy being outside and doing things like hiking, camping, sightseeing... I just don't have many opportunities or much experience in these things. I am willing to learn and be apart of those wonderful things, though. My 64 year old mother hiked with us to the Delicate Arch. That was quite a challenge, but so worth it. It was so great to help her to achieve that....it is so wonderful there. Lots of good memories. I am more productive in the morning. I go to bed early and get up early. I am very clean - and need my man to be as well (if you don't wash your hands after the bathroom - don't touch me, as I am a bit of a germ-a-phobe), but my apartment feels cluttered, because it is a small place. I strive to continue learning daily and I gravitate toward the more simple things as well as round angles. I go to a local facility to work out, but I am not a gym rat. I am not as tech savvy as I would like and I don't know how to swim. I eat as well as I can. I like buying organic as much as I can, especially my produce. My favorite seasons are fall and spring... with fall being my first choice. I love to slow dance. oh I am I love shoes!If you are interested in a girls girl, then contact me.
