About Me

Seeking a good man, and thorough. I am an entrepreneur who loves the liberation and creativity of being self-employed and not stuck behind a desk working in a meaningless job. I work hard for the money, and am decidedly NOT a princess.I am best described as counter-culture: a free spirit with a hippie edge. I am looking for someone who also finds themselves swimming against the mainstream.-and-coming band play at a dive-y/hipster bar, lounging for hours at a killer coffeeshop, biking everywhere, catching a movie at the flicks, swimming in any river, reservoir, or lake encountered, road trips, car camping, backpacking, yoga, thrift store shopping, and hotsprings! I just returned from 8 months traveling abroad and want to continue exploring this big, beautiful world of ours. My idea of travel is to pack a backpack, pick a continent and just go! No itineraries, luxury hotels, or paid tours for this girl! I am just getting to a place work-wise where travel is finally realistic and increasingly important to my life, so homebodies won’t be tolerated!I adore pets (what woman doesn’t, right?), but am between them right now. I was once in love with a dog for 14 years (my sweet golden retriever) and intend to get another within the next 2 years. I laugh every chance I get. I have a love for the outdoors and anything that involves me being on the water. I adore engaging conversation and am seeking someone who can return the volley. I desire a relationship that is based upon trust, respect and keeping one another focused on our mutual goals in life. I love a guy who digs adventure-seeking over spending a day on a couch endlessly watching sports. Qualities I am attracted to in a man include fun-loving, spontaneous, happy, healthy, funny, masculine, talkative, and positive. Bonus points if you have practiced yoga (even once), know your way around a toolbox, and don’t hunt or golf. If any of this resonates with you, let’s chat and see where it leads us.

I'm outgoing and find fun in almost everything I do. I love to travel and see and experience new things. I'm very passionate is most everything I do and laugh and laugh most of the time! I find sense of humor as attractive.I'm a professional, but always find time to go out and have fun. I enjoy being by the water and in the mountains. I have a good size yard and home so, yardwork takes up allot of my time. I get outdoors whenever possible, but once in awhile I can enjoy watching a movie.I know it takes allot of great communication and compromise to have a great relationship and I'm willing to do just that!!! I understand men and women communicate differently but, can work together and still get it right! I'm not a judgemental person and see differnt sides of things and experiences. Definately not a drama queen (I know they all say that)!! I already know what I want, I'll just have to find who I want (won't know who that is until I find him)!!! Meet for coffee or a drink and see how that goes....Defintely somewhere to talk. Then the second date step it up a little.

I am a busy mom of four, and most of my time during the week is spent getting my kids where they need to be. I am so proud of them. I learn something from them every day. They inspire me to be a better person and challenge me to live my life in a way that will not only be an example to them, but help them to be successful in their own lives as well. Some of my Favorites:I love to dance and hang out with friends. I am also addicted to road trips. Every summer my kids and I adventure across the country to see new places and meet new people. I have traveled to 46 states and am hoping to see the last 4 by the end of summer ***. I love the mountains-hiking, camping or just having dinner and a campfire in one of the canyons. I always try to make people laugh. I am a total goofball. *Update-I only have 3 states left to see now*Some Other Interests:Books:I am not an avid reader, but, I love any children's book that I read at bedtime to my kids. The Day My Butt Went Psycho, and Captain Underpants are always a favorite in my house!Movies:Just about anything funny, the dumber the better! I think I like anything except horror films unless they have dark humor in them.Music:It is a toss up between 80's new wave and current hip hop. I just like a great dance beat!Food:I love finding local dives and mom and pop shops. I much prefer taking a risk at a local joint than waiting for an hour at some national chain. Specifically though, I love Sushi and Fresh Mex. I love what I do, and the company I work for. I also work part-time as a receptionist at a pediatric office. I am thinking of going back to school in the Fall. To do what exactly, I have no idea. Life Lesson:I was attacked by a rooster while collecting eggs from my grandpa's chicken coop when I was little. I still remember it as if it were yesterday...In slow motion even. The rooster looked me in the eye and came toward me slowly. I froze, I had nowhere to run. He attacked and I threw all of the eggs in the air and ran. I learned a valuable lesson that day, and have applied it to my life.-- DO NOT make eye contact with a rooster and always know your options for a quick escape. As far as qualities I am looking for in a man:Not much.....Well minus the tragic ending of course...I could never stab myself and besides, I don't think faking your own death ever turns out the way you imagine. I would have chatted with you on line several times and had some great conversations on the phone before we even set a date for the in person meeting.A first date would be something fun and a little adventurous. I am not shy and like to talk, so something that is condusive to communicating is ideal. Maybe a local restaraunt or a fabulous dive cafe. Nothing too serious because I just met you and need time to see if we are dating material.
