Most definitely, I am an outgoing personality and rarely meet a stranger. I am a single mom and am completely comfortable being single. That being said, I would much rather find someone to share life's experiences with than be "single" forever. I have dated and had a relationship or 2 since my divorce. Honestly, I have taken a break for the last couple of years (have done the online "thing" before) but decided it was time to get back in the game. Not that I have been sitting home alone...not me! I just haven't actively pursued online dating. I am definitely independent and confident with who I am but also ready to have someone special in my world to enjoy life with. Someone to talk to about your day, look forward to seeing, planning for a weekend getaway, etc! You get my drift...you know what I'm talking about. I would consider myself to be a pretty "tough cookie" as I've had some challenges being a single parent. I do think there's a reason it takes two. ATL has been home for 30 years (although I'm only 29 ha) and my family is here, too. I love kids and enjoy the time I spend with mine. They are at an age that they are into their friends & have their own agenda & social activities. I am at a place that's comfortable as I need my own social life, too. I have worked in Real Estate since ***so I have seen a lot of change with regard to career but am finally in a place that I enjoy and see bigger opportunity in the future. I like doing all sorts of things. I think I am pretty easy going and full of energy...most of the time. I worked as a Flight Attendant so that gave me an opportunity to see many places. I do love to travel & have a long list of places I still want to see. I also enjoy cruising. I love to laugh and make others laugh! I'm a "glass is half full" kinda girl. I try to be the optimist when challenged...cause we all have them. A good match for me would be a man with integrity who knows how to make me laugh but can comfort me if I cry (don't freak...it doesnt happen alot). Confident not****. A man who can respect me because thats the way you gain respect. Someone who can see me as a partner in life, a best friend and companion. Someone who posts their "recent" photo & actual age (I did).You don't have to like red wine but I do! I am not much of a coffee drinker so please, ask me to meet you for a drink and not for coffeee. So National Geographic says that the mid west is one of the worst places to live if you are single and trying to find your significant other. I'm totally starting to believe it! (Now let's see how many won't read the profile and ask me "what does nat geo say". yes I hear that question a lot. LOL I've been able to spend a lot of time being single and figuring out who I am and what I want and I'm very thankful for that. I'm not willing to settle, I just want the guy who fits nicely in my life and me in his! I'd like to say I'm thoughtful, romantic, independent, loyal and usually full of energy. I like to do soooo many things. I love music, dancing and movies. I've been known to dance for hours. I'm very close to my family and believe that is very important. I also have an awesome group of friends that I spend a lot of time with. So here are some things I'm looking for in a guy: Honesty, loyalty, romantic, independent, strong, thoughtful and passionate. It is important that he is a social creature because a lot of time is spent with family and friends doing different things. Of course the attraction has to be there. It's all about the chemistry together. I'm sorry but you MUST have a picture or I'm not going to meet you. Communication is KEY, no beating around the bush and telling me all the things you think I want to hear just say it like it is and take your chances of it not working out. If it's meant to be, it will be. Please just be yourself. I also need someone who is secure and happy with himself and where he is in his life because only then will he be ready for a relationship.There seem to be many on here that aren't taking this real seriously. I'm not interested in a texting or *** If you are the type to text your first line of communication then you aren't the one for me....I'd much rather talk to you in person then an impersonal text message. :) I think the first date can vary and it's going to depend upon how we've hit it off on the phones calls. More than likely a first date would be for a drink after work or maybe going for a really great cup of cofee at a local coffee house.
