About Me

This past summer a fisherman in RI caught a yellow lobster. Those chances are 1 in 30 million. At times our chances of finding someone compatible might feel like that, but I'm pretty hopeful our odds are better! NC is where I've called home since ‘99, but was raised in upper NY. I'm a product of those harsh winters, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" :) I lived in RI for a time too. Right now I work in architecture, it's a perfect fit for me. Sat. you might find me in the yard, covered in dirt starting my next "project" or fixing up that thrift store find. Note: (I don’t fix people). Other interests include rollerblading, camping, yoga, festivals, foreign films & more.I love music, my fav styles are Americana & Blues. Living healthfully is a priority to me,but I’m not a gym person by nature.

Ok figure I'll give this another try. I'm interested in dating a nice, fun guy who is looking for a nice, fun girl. I love to laugh and try new things and am looking forward to new adventures. Looking for a guy who's not hung up on an ex and is really ready to move on and live life and above all, no drama! I'd like to find a guy that can make time for me and make me feel like I matter and it isn't just all about them. My kids are older so it would be nice to find a guy with older kids also.. or no kids works too :o) I'm up for anything. well, almost anything

Nothing worth having is easy to obtain. Take me, for example. In short, I enjoy the outdoors, the arts, and great conversation. I like a little adventure & to travel when I can. Family, extended family, & friends bring me happiness, and I care deeply about them. As well, I'm loyal to anyone I care about.I enjoy (in no particular order & many I rarely do, however, would like to more more often): Dancing (club/ballroom), dining, going to shows, theme parks, natural parks, hiking, photography, enhancing photos, good comedy (I truly enjoy laughing my butt off at a show or in a Comedy club), science, traveling (via plane when possible), boating, visiting historic sites, musicals, graphic design, engaging my creative side when inspiration strikes, becoming proficient w/ various software’-lining, horseback riding, skiing, and more. In general, I'm hoping to expand my horizon with someone open to doing the same! Do you have a suggestion, other than “hangin' out” & watching a movie?I'm a fun, sweet person & try to get along with everyone. I enjoy learning new skills, and activities. I would like to find someone that can carry on a good conversation, and can make me laugh. I would describe myself as outgoing, confident, loyal, open, loving, sensitive, charming, fun, caring, playful, honest (sometimes to honest), opinionated, and passionate. I love to laugh and smile often. I’m looking for an intelligent, fit, fun gentleman who is positive, energetic, and willing to treat a woman like a lady and great respect, and must be able to except me with all my perfections & imperfections.I'm looking for a man that: knows what he wants out of life, has confidence, and can keep me interested (fun, humorous, outdoors type, open to trying new things, etc). I don't want a man I can live with; I want one I cant live without. I'm passionate and give my all in a relationship, so I expect the same in return.I'm totally cool w/ striking up a friendship. If it goes further, well, it's all good. I enjoy many genres of music. Especially if it makes me want to move me & dance. I love to laugh & dance, whenever I have a chance. I am caring, compassionate, very honest, young at heart (I look & feel younger than I am), self-sufficient, health conscience, confident, secure, intelligent, mature (yet a kid at heart), and independent. I would like to meet a man that has some of the same qualities. It would be great to make new friends w/ similar interests, and/or are open to trying new things, as I am. However, if something more develops, I'm open to that. Please don't write stating I'm waiting for "the impossible." Cause I've met good men w/ all, or most, of these qualities. So, I know they exist. Sometimes one has to keeping sifting through tons of dirt to find what one is seeking. When it comes to matters of the heart - it's worth the sift. I wish us both luck in making a new friend, or finding a partner. A nice casual meet & greet can work. Let's mutually determine if were meant to be friends, more than friends, or neither. Either way, it's all good.

’s Pizza, worked at Kings Island (an amusement park) as a kid and still love roller coasters! At heart I’m a “girly girl”, although I’ve come a long way since my Barbie doll days.Someone I value once described me as passionate and compassionate. I think that’s fairly accurate. A little bit sweet. A little bit spicy. Singing makes my heart smile (although I’m not an accomplished vocalist). Friday night high school football makes my heart smile as well. My hot tub on a cold starry night, and curling up with a good book and a blanket are some of my favorite things. Making beautiful things gives me joy ... be it decorating my home or kids scrap books or cooking a fantastic table spread for a special occasion. I have an antique wagon that I typically fill with geraniums in the summer and mums in the fall. My wagon makes my heart sing. Art, and music and nature fill me with wonder … (although I don’t like bugs and my idea of camping is in a cabin lol). I love a good campfire as much as anyone. I’m looking for a meaningful relationship but not necessarily for marriage or movin’ in. Reasonable distance is not a deterrent (close enough to get together for a weekend or meet in the middle for a late supper). I am a reasonably secure person. I’m not looking to be rescued or supported nor am I looking to rescue or support someone else. Confidence is attractive. Arrogance is not.I love to send and receive flirty texts or messages, but don’t want to message or text indefinitely. I enjoy meeting new people.I like to be attentive and appreciate someone who is also, however I need someone who is confident enough to “handle it” when I’m caught at work and can’t respond right away to a message. That being said, the surest way to provoke my temper is to *** completely. I’m complicated. I’m dramatic. Sometimes I’m ridiculous. I’m a girl. Electronic communication leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn’t have body language, facial expression, or tone of voice which can lead to misunderstanding. In my opinion, everyone in the dating scene is looking for varying degrees of intimacy (emotionally and physically). Online dating provides the opportunity to meet a variety of people, explore multiple options and then narrow down the most compatible. We are all “players” in a sense. At some point, all people get a little bit hurt during the narrowing process. I appreciate someone who “plays nice”. Out for a bite to eat, or cup of coffee, or a drink ... preferably somewhere quiet enough for conversation.
