About Me

Hi! I am a professional writer, ***with an athletic build - I've played sports my whole life. So...loving sports is a must for me. :) I adore animals (also a must) and foster rescue dogs. I have my own house and a solid career. Though I've had several longterm relationships, none have ended in marriage, usually because of distance ***moves for a job, etc. I don't think I was ready then, but I am now. Regarding kids, my profile says "undecided" but that's not true - I would love kids, definitely to adopt. But if you have kids and do not want more that's OK too. At age 40 I understand I am probably not going to have kids via the traditional route if at all - I believe a relationship with your partner must absolutely come first before children should even be considered.My career goal is to continue writing and be self-supportive; I'm very good with money and financing. This helps as I like to travel (who doesn't?) and scuba dive.I think what makes me unique is I am extremely passionate and have been told I have a "childlike" response to life. I like that. It's important to have enthusiasm for life. I am easily entertained and can find fun in mundane activities. People tell me I am funny. As for flaws, I am definitely not a patient person (traffic, etc.), and I tend to overload myself until I get stressed out. That's when someone cool comes in to tell me it's going to be OK. :) Finally, it says to mention music ***Coffee/quick drinks are good for a first meeting (please call, texting is too disconnected). Would love to have a nice dinner outside somewhere, followed by some live music. Would also be fun to meet with our dogs in a park somewhere and have a picnic. My profile may come across as very "Type A', but in actuality, I am a very laid back person and just trying to find balance between fun, serious, active, and relaxed in this great world of ours! I believe in doing things side by side with my man, but not everything has to be done together. I love spending my time dancing, being with friends, and doing sports. With dancing, it's salsa or swing dancing or 80's dancing. I have no pride and love to dance (my man doesn't have to dance). I am a sports freak. I'm so psyched as have finally recovered from dual shoulder injuries and I am now free after 2 years of "taking it easy"....it was a bummer! I am no "fluff chick" who expects her man to wait on her. The warmth and trust that people have shown me has been overwhelming. It has shown me that working for relationships, being honest, and the respect that we show each other is the most important thing in the world. It always comes back "at us" what we put "out there"..and I have been so lucky to have met my friends (really, my extended family). My friends ARE part of my family. They validate who I am.
