If I had to peg myself, well...I was that smart girl who was awkward & shy as a kid (I used to wear a patch over one eye, had glasses & braces!) and as the years went by, well...I blossomed.So, what is YOUR story? Here's mine. I moved back to PA five years ago & now work remotely for a non-profit. I'm mainstream and conventional in a lot of ways and in other ways, not at all. I am a down-to-How else would I describe myself? I'm real, down-to-earth, middle of the road extro/introvert, passionate, no-nonsense/straight-forward/bottomline, practical, low-maintenance, educated, confident, intelligent, funny, independent, silly, cosmopolitan yet local at the same time, open-minded, hard--judgmental (except about lazy & unethical people), generous, kind, honest...a lot of people tell me that I'm the same person now as I was years ago - I take pride in that.I'm the type of girl who gets pedicures, but not manicures because I'd mess 'em up too quickly - I actually think that says a lot about me - hahaha.I see myself with a man who is attractive, educated and a professional, but has a creative spirit. If you are a run-of-the-mill conservative suit, I don't think we'll click. He is stable and successful career wise, and happy with his life personally and professionally (like I am). I like a man who has something to say - chatty even - is salt-of-the-earth/no pretenses. Hopefully you can be light-hearted, fun and we can make each other legitimately laugh! Not a deal breaker, but I also tend to like a man who has some grit and is handy - not that you have to be MacGyver but you can try.     Okay, I'll just ramble a bit. Writing this stuff is always strange. I love to travel, but haven't done too much of it recently. I enjoy trying anything new, going places, meeting new friends, being outside, going to the beach, shooting pool, watching football (big Ravens fan!), running, having beer and crabs or hot wings on a dock somewhere, etc. I'm currently training for my first 5K in December. I have two teenage boys who are awesome and keep me busy, as I have them much of the time. I'm really easy to be around, love to laugh, and have a good sense of humor. I enjoy everything from going out to a club to dance or hear a band to watching a movie (action films are my favorite - no chick flicks), to taking a long walk outside. I'm not into politics at all...so don't bother talking about that. (My ex was a right-wing nut, and I overdosed on the stuff. A man that is confident and makes decisions is attractive. I don't need a guy to take care of me, I've got my stuff together and I'm a bit independent. But, I do like spending time with someone who is fun, interesting, and makes me laugh. My favorite musicians are Matchbox 20, P!nk, and Nickelback, but I'll listen to most anything...other than Jazz.
