If I had to peg myself, well...I was that smart girl who was awkward & shy as a kid (I used to wear a patch over one eye, had glasses & braces!) and as the years went by, well...I blossomed.So, what is YOUR story? Here's mine. I moved back to PA five years ago & now work remotely for a non-profit. I'm mainstream and conventional in a lot of ways and in other ways, not at all. I am a down-to-How else would I describe myself? I'm real, down-to-earth, middle of the road extro/introvert, passionate, no-nonsense/straight-forward/bottomline, practical, low-maintenance, educated, confident, intelligent, funny, independent, silly, cosmopolitan yet local at the same time, open-minded, hard--judgmental (except about lazy & unethical people), generous, kind, honest...a lot of people tell me that I'm the same person now as I was years ago - I take pride in that.I'm the type of girl who gets pedicures, but not manicures because I'd mess 'em up too quickly - I actually think that says a lot about me - hahaha.I see myself with a man who is attractive, educated and a professional, but has a creative spirit. If you are a run-of-the-mill conservative suit, I don't think we'll click. He is stable and successful career wise, and happy with his life personally and professionally (like I am). I like a man who has something to say - chatty even - is salt-of-the-earth/no pretenses. Hopefully you can be light-hearted, fun and we can make each other legitimately laugh! Not a deal breaker, but I also tend to like a man who has some grit and is handy - not that you have to be MacGyver but you can try. ok, so, about me...I am a fairly sarcastic person & tend to appreciate that in others. I need to be able to have an intellectual conversation with someone but also be silly & stupid sometimes. I am compassionate & empathetic. You don't know what any other person is or has gone through, and I think it's important to remember that as you go through your own life.-love the snow & snowboarding but also love just sitting on the beach & reading a book. I couldn't live in a place where the seasons didn't change. I like to be outside on a deck drinking beers, having a nice dinner with some wine, laying in bed listening to the rain, walking outside while it's snowing, cuddling on the couch, going on a long walk, hike, or run and having that exhausted but great feeling of accomplishment at the end. I can't cook - at all - just being honest :-) I love my Doc Martens, and all of my tattoos &;..but the hat is a must! ha ha) I like sports - live or on TV, watching football in the fall with a bunch of friends or going to a baseball game in the summer! I like all kinds of music but NOT country (with the exception of Johnny Cash) and mostly alternative...Social Distortion, New Order, the Smiths, Metric, Offspring, Keane, Spinnerette... I have 2 children who are with me 50% of the time. They mean the world to me & we are absolutely a package deal. There is little that is more important to me than helping them become kind, genuine individuals. I am not looking for someone to be a father to my children. They have a father & he is a good dad. I am here looking for someone for me. Someone that I can connect with. Wow, there's so much more to me that can't be explained here.
