About Me

I'm always surprised at how many people think it's ok to post pics that are old or don't depict you accurately. Mine do so, I figured I would clarify that upfront. :)I've heard a lot of great things about this site so here I am... I relocated to NJ from NY about 3 years ago. It's beautiful here! I'm a great Mom and provider. I enjoy time with my son, family and close friends. I appreciate good things (like fresh herbs in my salad or HDTV) but I'm not 'materialistic' and don't shop just for the sake of shopping. I live a healthy, active life. I play softball as much as I can. I golf (really for work and not often -so,I must admit, scrambles are my preference! I can drive the ball a mile but my pitching and putting lack the right 'touch'.)I am a joyful, confident person who appreciates the little things. I like to spend time on my home - whether it's decorating, fixing something or planning the next project. I have a great job and work with wonderful people. Like any career, it can be demanding at times but on the other hand, I have more balance in my life than I have had in the past; which allows me to spend quality time with my son (and significant other).I come from a traditional Italian family. I may be an independent and self-sufficient woman but I'm also old fashioned. I appreciate chivalry and a strong man.When I first meet someone new, I like to get to know the person. Dating is important to really get to know each other. A great kiss is a good way to end a night if it feels right. Once I'm in a relationship, I'm extremely affectionate, caring and attentive but I am admittedly conservative with my time and feelings until I know you and where it's going... There are so many different ways to have an amazing first date. I'm fine with meeting for a cup or coffee or a drink at first. This gives us both a chance to figure out if what we read and saw on this site is what we expected in person. (FYI - Honesty is important to me. If you say you are 6' tall and high on life, that shouldn't include standing on a step stool complaining about work or taking pain RX.) Ever notice that when there is chemistry, it doesn't matter what you are doing? The conversation flows... there's a lot of smiling and sharing... and neither one can wait for that first kiss! Sometimes, chemistry happens but not right away. That's great too. A fun first date, getting to know each other and then suddenly you can't wait for the 3rd or 4th date....

    Alright I’ll just admit it, yes on OCCASION I have been known to have my blonde moments. However, I like to view that as me just being a trustworthy kind of person. A very strong value, and one that I hope I display to my daughter, is to treat people the way you want to be treated. I do prefer a guy to be at least 5'10.My family is my biggest blessing. I only wish they lived closer! But one piece is missing and that’s someone to grow old with and enjoy the second half of my life with. I would prefer to meet someone that lives close by to me. I am a single mom and if my daughter suddenly gets a play date it would be nice if you lived close by so we could get together.
