Woman. 41 years old. Zodiac sign: Virgo.

Looking for: man. In age: 38-48

HI there! I am a happy, independent and easy going woman who prefers flip flops to stilettos. I love to be outside and enjoy a walk on the beach no matter what time of year it is. Live music makes me happy from a deck in the summer to a large venue.; John Maher. I think I like a variety of music. I love the energy! I prefer to be active and healthy. Most nights after work you can find me at a spinning class. I would love someone to join me! I work in the child welfare field and am committed to my work and the children I work for. My professional experience has taught me not to sweat the things we can not control and to appreciate the smallest moments. I have plenty of drama at work and prefer my personal life to be peaceful. Family and friendship is important to me. I value "family dinner" I love local theater, shopping concerts with my nieces and movies with my nephew. I look forward to frequent gatherings of my good friends the "wolf pack" everyone is invited and included!.. I'm looking for someone who is outgoing, funny, kind, happy, glass half full kind of fella! No pen pals please! What do you think?

Once I heard love described as friendship on fire...I guess it stuck. I am looking for that special person who can accept me for me, who makes me laugh 'til I can't breathe and isn't afraid to tell me the truth, regardless of what it is... for that person who is challenging, fun and able to have a disagreement, and then get over it...someone I can't wait to call whether I have had a stressful day or a great one because I want to tell him all about it...and someone who gets that I am still a work in progress, always looking to make my life better, not perfect in any way, except maybe a perfect partner for someone out there. Please Love Dogs...and cats ...I have both and always will (shelter adoptions with a lifetime home).I am looking for an actual relationship, where we start off just dating and if we hit it off then we choose to be exclusive. I am not looking for penpals, games, one night stands or "just casual". I have known lots of couples who are opposites and I tend to be attracted to opposites as well, but that generally doesn't last. Some differences keep things from being boring or make things work more smoothly. But generally we should be more alike in our core values than not.Looking forward to meeting you =) For a first date I like to focus more on just relaxing and having fun than planning a date so either drinks or dessert at a cafe or bar...or in the nicer weather a round of mini golf or a walk thru a park. Casual lunch might work too.

What does that mean: "I'm Not Done?" It means that I'm still living my life. I travel for fun, and this I take quite seriously. For about the last five years I've spent at least one month out of every twelve traveling, and I am having the time of my life. I'm having a blast finding out what the world looks like outside of a television screen or a photograph. I abhor the dull, the boring, the ordinary.Mostly I travel for music. There are a few bands I really like, and for me nothing beats seeing them live. (Bonus points if you know what Red Rocks, the Ryman Auditorium, and Gentlemen of the Road Stopovers are without having to look them up.)My taste in music is pretty open. Mostly I like "organic" music: music that's played on *** require skill and discipline to play. I am not a fan of electronic music or anything wholly created on a computer or played back pre-recorded during a live show. I like some bluegrass, some folk, some rock, some metal. What matters most to me is genuineness, depth, and passion being expressed in music. I also love equine sports, especially thoroughbred racing. A day at the track is one of my favorite ways to spend my free time, but I haven't had a chance to do that in a while. I also enjoy hockey, but haven't been more than a casual follower for several years. Canine agility events are always cool to witness, and I have trained a couple of border collies (my favorite breed) in agility and flyball. Currently my pets consist of a Jardine's parrot and a Tibetan spaniel.I'm looking for someone who is fun and adventurous, someone who's not afraid of being who he is and who has a genuine appreciation for music that comes from the soul.UPDATE: Okay, so I have been getting a lot of guys messaging me asking if I am a groupie. Let me just begin by saying this is the best way not only to get no response from me, ever, but also to piss me off. Just because I'm female doesn't mean my attraction to live music is based on a desire to sleep with the band members. It IS actually possible for females to appreciate and recognize the qualities of the music itself. It really depends on the interests of my date. I'm open to suggestions, but if that includes clichés like "dinner and a movie" or "grab a cup of coffee" it might be a turn-off. These things are commonplace, and at this point I've done common to death. It's boring; I prefer anti-boring. Basically just somewhere doing something fun and engaging that lets our real personalities show.
