The real trick is taking two whole people and becoming one unit. I'm doing my work, are you?I am a simple girl, really: I am honest - which is different than truthful, although truth is a component of honesty. I am ethical - which is different than moral, although morals play a part in ethics. I am at home on a team - which is different than being a follower, although the ability to maintain one's agreed upon responsibilities is critical to the success of the team. I am a communicator - which is different than being a speaker, although the ability to convey abstract ideas to others is needed. I'm simple; which is different than easy.The guy for me has himself in hand and is curious about the world of possibilities. He's flexible of thought, deed and action. He has a backbone and a toughness, but the confidence, sensitivity and self-awareness to know that not every situation requires a "chief." My guy is funny and sees humor in lots of things; he's an optimist. He's quick to share credit for success and accepts responsibility for his failures and foibles. While I fully expect that he's been through trials and tribulatoins, he'll have conquered the demons of the past and has a firm hand on the leash of any harmful addictions -- the fun ones he'll be comfortable with letting roam free. He recognizes that "perfect" anything is an illusion and that the overcoming of challenges -- the lessons learned from failure and hurt -- are the things that make us each unique. I enoy reading the book, then seeing the movie followed by a discussion/debate of the merits/flaws of both. I'm as comfortable in a pair of flips flops, eating pizza and going to a rock concert as I am dressed to the nines enjoying five-star dining followed by an evening at the symphony. One person's ecclectic is another's snobbery, and I think that's what makes the world an interesting place. Should be casual. I prefer coffee or something where you can be done quickly if things are not going well or linger and share if we're getting on swimmingly! (Chemistry is a fickle, odd thing that can't be predicted. No sense wasting time if everyone isn't on the same page, n'est ce pas?)

    So here I go again! Moving on after a 3 year relationship. I am going to ease into this dating thing once again. Just in case you wont read on - please note I am 5 foot 10 inches tall. So I will not be putting on any acts or pretend to be someone I'm not.I'm romantic by nature - I like holding hands and playful teasing. I like public displays of affection (well not the type we could receive compensation for in the seedier parts of town). I am looking for a connection - both physical and emotional. I want closeness but not clingy. I think couples are most satisfied when they maintain a true sense of themselves. So guys enjoys boys night - or a play hockey - just come home to me - LOLI am not looking for a long term relationship right now. It would be nice to meet someone that makes me change my mind about that but I am happy to meet new people and enjoy each others company with no pressure.
