My parents are my heroes! My brother is pretty amazing too, he's an incredible Baptist pastor, so if we date I'll be dragging your butt to church with me on occasion. I just started taking a belly dance class a few weeks ago, it's a lot harder than it looks but I love it! I have a 5 yr. I'm a laid back person who is honest to a fault and worry about others more than I do myself. I enjoy doing things for other people, hate liars, kudzu freaks me out, don't like the smell or taste of burnt popcorn and hate cave crickets worse than any spider out there. I have a phobia of driving over bridges that go over water...I don't know why but if I have to go over one I'm going to be speeding. Can't believe I haven't gotten a ticket for that yet!! I have a good, sometimes warped and sarcastic, sense of humor. I have a great job that I love and it requires that I travel occasionally. If you want to know more just ask... No movies!! As much as I love a good movie there's no way I'm going to keep my mouth shut for over 2 hours when I want to get to know someone. Meeting for a drink and/or walk downtown is normally a nice ice breaker...

I AM!! lolI am a small town girl. Lived here my whole life. I do believe men should open doors for women. I don't think women should make the first move. I think alot of this womens lib crap has ruined it for the rest of us.. lol! I am very independent, I can take care of myself but, I do think there are things that are meant for women to do and there are things that are meant for men.. I believe men should make the first move but either most have you have been burned or hurt or jerked around.. etc.. Most of us have been in some way or else we wouldn't be on a dating web-site, right? Get over it! I have a life. I do expect you have one too.. lol.. Just don't expect me to put mine on hold. If I have time and you do to then lets just enjoy it! the movies are completly out...lol. i wouldn't object 2 sitn on the tailgate at the lake just visit'n w/ maybe a couple of adult beverages.. lol

Hello! I'm not going to give away all of my secrets here but I came across this and thought I'd give it a whirl....I have a number of interests including seeing live music and performances, visiting museums, traveling to new places (especially those with historical significance) and reading about topics that will improve me as a person. I am originally from Md and I also enjoy visiting family and friends in the area. During my work hours I am a nurse educator and a Mom of a 9 year old....I'm very satisfied with my role as a Mom and I love the relationship between me and my son but nurturing other parts of myself is important to be able to have the satisfaction with my family life.I generally keep busy and am happier that way but I will certainly carve out time to spend with the right person regardless of my "busyness."I would describe myself as independent in that I enjoy spending time alone but when I have opportunities to spend time with others I usually jump at them. I also like to think I'm genuine, sensitive, and perceptive. I am quite self reflective, will readily admit when I'm wrong and in the toughest of situations I am a lady through and through...I believe there is meaning in every relationship I've had even if it wasn't the right fit. Who I'm looking for can vary greatly from what I put on paper vs actually meeting someone who I never thought I'd be good with...so don't worry if this doesn't sound like you!...who I think I'm looking for is an intellectual yet not so serious all the time. I tend to gravitate towards men who like sports and the outdoors...those who appreciate nature and the arts and who are regularly active...those who have a sense of autonomy and direction for their life as well as those who reflect on where they've been. I've found I really like it when a man has a sense of community whether it's through his career, the area he lives, or something he's involved with that is bigger than himself...I have diverse musical tastes but I tend to listen to female singer-songwriters more often.....I also like jazz (any kind) and classical music....Looking forward to hearing from you and hopefully meeting up soon!
