Getting creative in the kitchen is always fun for me as long as the recipient of any newly tried recipe understands the pizza caveat; as in, if the recipe doesn't turn out as planned, we laugh, order a pizza and try again another day. Besides, half the fun is in trying, right? Not a fan of red meat, but willing to have chicken or fish, its fair to say I will never be the one serving a steak and potatoes meal. I promise to surprise you with great food and we can share a glass of wine while I (or we) cook. A little music in the background sets the tone perfectly.Music speaks volumes to my soul and nothing makes my heart sing like getting a dressed up in my girly- Terelli's, Mercy and Season's 52 are some of my favorite hangouts. A little Frank? Cab Calloway? Dave Brubeck's Take Five anyone? I prefer a short meet and greet first to decide if we should move forward with a first date. Going to a comedy club, snacks and drinks on a patio to people watch, museum, aquarium, arboretum, dinner or coffee is an ideal first date. I adore getting a little dressed up in a girly sort of way and you can leave sporting events off the list. Current events in town, lectures or anything that expands my horizons is more my style. Time to chat and get to know one another during the first date is important to me as I like to know what your opinions consist of rather than the traditional staring at a movie screen for two hours. Showing initiative, being creative and coming up with ideas or suggesting restaurants always scores points in my book. Its fun to have back and forth discussion, but at least come to the table with some ideas.

I am very athletic, love watching and playing a lot of sports. I like to be outdoors in the warm months but am definitely not the camping type. I have been, but prefer a very nice hotel to sleeping in a tent! (Sorry nature lovers ) I am not a fan of the winter but I deal like every other Western New Yorker! My music interests include mostly rap and hip hop...not a country girl at all...country is for my parents. I am a counselor/social worker. I have been in my field for a while now and still enjoy it! I have a very close group of friends that I spend time with quite a bit. I definitely would need someone who is able to meet my group and blend. I am not asking for you to become best friends but at least be able to hang and be cool.I consider myself to be pretty independent. I can be pretty sarcastic and silly at times and love to laugh and have fun! The best first date would be drinks at a local bar for small talk and possibly darts or pool. I am very competitive so prepare to lose! Possibly bowling could work too since we would have an activity to focus on as well!
