I have a happy life with family who love me and friends who would do anything for me. I like to stay busy and am almost never bored. I love to laugh and do it as often as possible. The single life has not been at all bad, but recently I have found myself craving something more. While I do love to travel, see and do new things, explore and absorb as much as the world may have to offer, I am not a party girl, bar hopper, or stay-out-all-night-raising-hell kind of girl. From time to time, I may join friends in watching a mutual friend's band play at a local pub. I'm not a complete stick in the mud, and I love letting my hair down, but I don't go to these type places in search of my next date. I'm hoping this site has more to offer than the local pub. I truly do want to meet someone who is interested in being in a committed relationship when the time is right. I am not looking for a pen pal, text buddy, or *** you contact me, please have intentions of eventually calling and meeting face to face. I'm a snuggling, cuddling, come get a little closer while watching tv kind of girl... A hand holding, whispering in your ear, sneaking a kiss in public type of girl... I am affectionate and I encourage the same. I am not, however, a space invader, and know when it is or isn't an appropriate time for such actions ...so guys, you can now let out that breath you've been holding since you started reading this paragraph ;) I am a devoted mother, but an empty nester. My eighteen year old daughter moved in with her dad two years ago. While we have an unconditional love for each other, there just seems to be so many more things higher on the list than hanging with her parents these days (go figure!). Needless to say, I have had A LOT of idle time on my hands. I returned to school (almost finished! yippee!) while working a full time job, took up a few new hobbies, redesigned parts of my house, and then realized I STILL have a lot of time on my hands. Sooooo.... let's go find something to get into!

I'm a counselor, corporate trainer, poet, artist, hypnotherapist, dream analyst, life coach, substance abuse professional, and a dear friend to many, many people - I guess I know enough to be DANGEROUS I suppose. Don't we all???? Truth be told, aren't we all a little crazy?? There's a fine line between genuis and insanity. LOL. Lots of EXCITING things happening in my life right now, but I still find time to date somehow. I'm a prolific reader and writer. Working on getting two books published before the end of the year. First one is coming out in October probably - called "Get Busy Living: The Art of Getting Unstuck" . Also publishing my poetry collection (over ***written) before the end of the year - It is called "Persephone Rising" (my mythological hero) and I'm just picking out the best ones for publication. Don't be fooled though or intimated -- I don't know a stranger and can talk to anyone about anything and everything. People always tell me how comfortable they feel around me and relaxed. That's the counselor in me I suppose - but I'd like to think it's just the intentional act of being kind and decent to other human beings who are not that different from me really. I'm a secure and busy woman who can STILL find time to spend with people who are important to me. I am looking for someone who can hold a good conversation and is stable and kind. I really enjoy lengthy conversations over a glass of wine or some coffee. Every ONE of us has a STORY, and I would love to hear YOURS! Reciprocation is nice in relationships and I would like to find that. I am looking for a good friendship to start because I think that's the foundation of anything that's worth having. I'd be happy to make some new friends even if not interested in something more. Either way, I will be honest with you. I promise you that. I've learned that happiness in life sometimes looks very different from the way we imagined or planned it out, and it can be even better than the plans we laid out. Kind of ironic. I prefer to meet people face to face sooner vs. later. If you can't have a good conversation in person, what's the point really.
