About Me

I'm a counselor, corporate trainer, poet, artist, hypnotherapist, dream analyst, life coach, substance abuse professional, and a dear friend to many, many people - I guess I know enough to be DANGEROUS I suppose. Don't we all???? Truth be told, aren't we all a little crazy?? There's a fine line between genuis and insanity. LOL. Lots of EXCITING things happening in my life right now, but I still find time to date somehow. I'm a prolific reader and writer. Working on getting two books published before the end of the year. First one is coming out in October probably - called "Get Busy Living: The Art of Getting Unstuck" . Also publishing my poetry collection (over ***written) before the end of the year - It is called "Persephone Rising" (my mythological hero) and I'm just picking out the best ones for publication. Don't be fooled though or intimated -- I don't know a stranger and can talk to anyone about anything and everything. People always tell me how comfortable they feel around me and relaxed. That's the counselor in me I suppose - but I'd like to think it's just the intentional act of being kind and decent to other human beings who are not that different from me really. I'm a secure and busy woman who can STILL find time to spend with people who are important to me. I am looking for someone who can hold a good conversation and is stable and kind. I really enjoy lengthy conversations over a glass of wine or some coffee. Every ONE of us has a STORY, and I would love to hear YOURS! Reciprocation is nice in relationships and I would like to find that. I am looking for a good friendship to start because I think that's the foundation of anything that's worth having. I'd be happy to make some new friends even if not interested in something more. Either way, I will be honest with you. I promise you that. I've learned that happiness in life sometimes looks very different from the way we imagined or planned it out, and it can be even better than the plans we laid out. Kind of ironic. I prefer to meet people face to face sooner vs. later. If you can't have a good conversation in person, what's the point really.     You get up. You eat breakfast (or not). You go to work. You eat lunch. You come home. You have dinner. You go to bed. For most, the routine leaves little time for anything else. The results are usually shallow relationships with our friends, families, and our Maker. But, when your head hits the pillow at the end of the day, do you ever question if you’ve made the wrong things important? It is all from the heart. I live my life from the heart, I speak from the heart, and love from the heart. I feel love is the most powerful of all things. I believe it never fails if you believe in your partner and communicate. Talk to your partner. Find out who they are. Ask what they are feeling. Go with them to Church. Really listen. Shut off the t.v., turn off the phone, look them in the eyes and listen. Perhaps love would grow in the end.I’m romantic, affectionate and passionate and try to practice kindness and love in all I do. I also may tie your shoelaces together while you’re not looking. :-)My ideal man is kind hearted, loving, embraces his feelings, and loves people. And believes that each person should be accepted at face value. We have all been hurt once or twice maybe more but I would like a fair shot so it would be nice if he did not allow past hurts to color present perceptions in relationships. It’s against my “religion” to play with hearts, lives or anything that belongs to others. I have no problem meeting for coffee or lunch maybe even dinner just ask. I have alot to share and would love to have someone TRUE to share it with.
