About Me

I've been out of the dating scene for quite some time and I'm ready to give it another try. Plain and simple- I'm a good person, with a good heart and I'm ready to move forward in life with the right person. I am truly at the stage where I don't need a relationship but I want a relationship. I'm interested in having a family. I'm very lucky as I have a great, family and wonderful friends who I love spending time with. I like to exercise. Zumba, yoga, biking, hiking and country dancing are a few activities I enjoy. Every now and again I get crafty and tap into the domesticated fine arts such as sewing, scrapbooking, and cross stitching. Speaking of cats.....I have two :) They're perfect for a condo owner and someone that likes to travel. Which by the way, if I could travel every month I would!! I most recently went on an Alaskan cruise (one of the best trips of my life). The last thing I can share about me is that I love a good joke and I love to laugh. My friends tell me I have a guy sense of humor (whatever that means) Sometimes the laugh is a cackle. Just sayin, you've been forewarned! Is this where I TELL about my first date??? Ok, here it goes. It was 9th grade, Coronation dance. I went with John S. I was wearing a green dress he had on a matching light green sweater (oh ahh). I had about 20 pounds on him b/c he was wrestling in the pip squeak catagory. So dinner wasn't too exciting b/c I was the only one who ate! He had a piece lettuce. Anyway, John's dad carted us around to dinner, the dance, back home. I had my first kiss on my front porch that night. It reminded me of......a cat lapping milk?!? Was that not how it was supposed to be??! Not as romantic as I thought it would be! Maybe it was b/c he was starving! :) OK, IN ALL SERIOUSNESS- I'm down w/quick first dates. A coffee, a drink. A walk around a shopping area. If we feel it's worth a second date, we can do more!

    Like most girls, I enjoy feeling like a princess from time to time...that's not to say that I am one, but I can appreciate a well-mannered gentleman. Romance is great and definitely NOT overrated. Most days my hair may be up in a ponytail, and I love relaxing in my favorite jeans and PSU sweatshirts. A cold beer and a good game is always a great day! "Southern Cross" is a favorite, I don't care who sings it, lol. "American Girl" Foo Fighters and Metallica can always get me jumping, while Jimmy Buffett makes me crave palm trees, pina coladas, and relaxation. I have a passion for life and I love to be inspired. I'm a fan of how music makes me feel...not necessarily the artists who perform them. I spend a lot of free time volunteering with local youth soccer programs and coaching young players. I admitingly participate in the office fantasy football league every year and LOVE it. Perhaps slightly addicted to football, but I can warm up to basketball and baseball in the off season. Sports have always been a huge passion of mine, and I don't see that changing any time soon.It is common that I get wrapped up in work a bit too much. I take pride in working hard and being part of a team that can rely on me. It wouldn't be terrible to meet a guy with the same work ethic, but who knows how to relax and help me enjoy life's moments when they come. Is that you? Surprise me...but you'll have to tell me what attire to wear, otherwise I'm showing up in flip flops ;)

    Hi and thanks for stopping by! It's amazing when you to the beach and see dolphins swimming. I'll never get tired of that or seeing the sun set over the water. In addition to enjoying the water when I can, I also enjoy being active which often includes running or biking. I've even tried some other crazy adventures like sky diving. I enjoyed it, but I think jumping out of an airplane once is enough for me. :)Going on crazy adventures is fun but it'd be better if I had someone to share the experience with. I'm looking for someone who is confident in themselves, someone who smiles more than complains and someone who loves to get out and try new things. Staying in and watching a movie can be just as enjoyable too.
