About Me

In a nutshell, what you see is what you get. I love spending time with my friends and laughing about our crazy conversations and situations, and there are plenty of them! To know me is to know my friends, as well. I love live, local music of all genres and make an effort to see my favorites when they play locally. It's been a while, but I enjoy going to the theater and art shows once in a while, too. I do a lot of reading when I'm not teaching and love good book recommendations. I love SU football and basketball and try to make it to as many games as possible. Dorky, I know! lolProfessionally, I am a special education teacher and take my job very seriously. I advocate for my students and what is in their best interest. My job is a very important part of my life and my students are the only kids I have. I hope to start a PhD program to further my education, but that's not for another few years. Right now I'm happy right where I am.I always see the positive in people because I want to truly believe that the world is a good place. That's what kinda gets me in trouble sometimes! I believe that honesty and trust are the two most important things to look for in any type of relationship.     I'm 32, never been married, and no kids. I am a homebody. Sorry, going out with a large group 5 nights a week doesn't interest me. I know that education and intelligence are not the same thing. You can have one without the other. I like going to Royals games every now and then. Yes, they're not great. Yes, parking is expensive.
