About Me

StartRant:People on these dating sites are so rude! Why is that people?? Whatever happened to your manners, and why not take 10 seconds to send a "thanks but no thanks" reply when someone sends you a message and you arent interested *** coming across as an a$$hole? Oh yeah, its much easier to be a prick than be nice. If this is how you treat total strangers, then you are not worth knowing, thats for sure...EndRant:And here we go!I have made some bad decisions with past relationships, I drove my ex crazy and he drove me crazy, so its back to square one for me. I am trying my best in life, I have been trying to do it right but I am not perfect, and neither are you. So lets try to determine if we are perfect for each other and wont drive each other crazy. I am very independent. This means I rely only on myself, but it doesnt mean I dont enjoy someone else taking care of me. I have a great job, car, house and money, so I don't need your car, house or money, because I can fend for myself. If you get into trouble, I will take care of you and if I get into trouble, I expect the same from you.I have a great sense of humor: dry, sarcastic, witty, all depends on the mood.I am trustworthy, very honest, responsible and caring. I will put little notes in your lunch and will send you sappy text messages.I like to be a homebody and do not need to be constantly on the go. I save rather than spend, but money doesn't make anyone truly happy does it? One day you will realize it too, everyone gets there eventually... With all this money I save and no human kids, I get to spend it all on you and us, however you must give great and numerous foot rubs and massages though to get my money, sorry :-)I never play the game of love. If I like you, you will know it, otherwise I will not lead you on, waste your time, etc.I have a great music and movie collection. The Tron Legacy soundtrack is absolutely amazing. I have brains, street smarts and common sense.I have a unique sense of style: business casual at work (but not donning dresses or skirts), and T-shirts and jeans on the weekends. I am a die hard made in UK doc martens fan, as well as Adidas, Nike sucks!I work on my house and am not afraid to get dirty or learn how to do something myself.I ride my road bicycle 3- I ride for exercise not leisure. I save the leisure for the 2 events I do each year.I can be very quirky, geeky and dorky.I enjoy making the people in my life as happy as possible. I love outlet mall shopping, performing arts, concerts, watching sports (mainly NFL and MLB), flea markets, art shows, festivals, etc. I enjoy companionship, hand holding and kissing.About you? I don't really have a type that I am looking for, so let me list a few things I am NOT looking for in a person: egotists, arrogance, and flakiness. If your philosophy is based on hypocrisy and you tend to keep a lot of secrets, then I am not interested in you. If you don't think before you speak, then I am not interested in you. As you can see, I am all about the personality. I am attracted to the brain and heart first. Looks are secondary. Though I admit I would like someone to be in shape enough to play frisbee!I try to give everyone a chance when they contact me, because nothing ventured is nothing gained. I also get greater benefit if you contact me first. I find coffee and walk in the park extremely boring and non productive for a first date, I prefer *** so we can ask some questions, then lets meet face to face on a real date and see if sparks fly....Please note, I ask a lot of questions! If this bothers you we probably are not a match.

I have a huge heart with a lot of love to give, yet I\'m not quick to open it up in fear of getting hurt again. I\'m interested in someone that would like to join me as we develop ourselves and our relationships.

I think it's time for a profile change, so here goes.I like to think of myself as a smart, funny, pretty, interesting woman. My friends agree. :-) I'm currently in the middle of a huge career shift, which includes pursuing my masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. A big change from working in the corporate world, but I think it will ultimately be far more fulfilling. I love to spend time out with people (people watching with friends is great!), I love to spend time home by myself with a good book. I'd really love to find someone to snuggle up and watch a movie with. I like to stay pretty active, but I truly enjoy being able to unwind after a tough week, too. So, a nice balance between work, play, and relaxation would be good. I keep myself pretty busy, but I'd like to find someone to help fill the spare time I do have. I'm working a full time job, plus a part time job, and going to grad school, so I've learned not to waste my time on people that don't put in the same effort. But, if you are worth the effort, I'll do whatever I can to spend as much time with you as possible. I think lately I've learned more about what I don't want than what I do want. Every time I think I nail down what I want, when I find someone that matches the description, I realize that it's still not quite right. I fully believe Mr. Right is out there though. I just haven't figured out exactly what that is. I do know that I need someone that has intelligence, ambition, and a curious nature that enjoys adventures. There are two things that will stop me immediately if I read them in a profile. 1) Answering "no" to "do you do drugs" then listing "420" as an interest. It's ridiculous. It may not be a hard drug, but it is, in fact, still a drug. 2) Talking (or even hinting) about your (lack of) money problems. Are gold diggers really such a huge problem in your life that you must warn against them in your profile? Really??PS - I'm not a big sports fan (though I've been known to sit through a game or two) or super-duper outdoorsy (I do like to hike, but I haven't been camping in years). Sorry! First date is usually a relaxed drink somewhere. Either at a bar or at a coffee shop (as long as I don't have to drink coffee, yuck). It's usually the easiest way to just sit and talk to get to know each other.
