About Me

I know sex in the city exists.... but what about dating in the city, or getting to know someone in the city, or a nice freaking guy in the city? ok...the sex in the city reference is from when i lived in nyc but i suppose all the wondering about dating is the same for a single girl anywhere. i say what i mean and mean what i say***i look for that in people i surround myself with as well. diclaimer: [if you think my headline is an invitation to inquire about my breasts and couldn't tell that it's a witty (slightly sarcastic) comment meant to catch your eye, or think that because i mention the word 'boobs' that i'd like to hear about any part of your anatomy....i suggest you move on]I was really focused on school and then building my career and just didn't feel the need for a relationship, but now that i'm older and established i'm starting to crave a little companionship, someone to take me to dinner and a movie, someone to run errands with, or hold my bags while we go shopping... or if thats not your thing I'm sure there is a lifetime movie I can talk you into. Relax...I'm a hot wings, beer, and whatever game is on at the bar kind of girl.(but in all honesty if you want to go shopping, i probably won't say no) i'm in the hospitality industry so typically holidays and weekends don't usually exist. however, at my level fortunately i do have a little more flexibility, but anyone i date will have to respect that long hours are part of the deal. but that being said, i do desire a personal life and i try to keep a balance. Since I'm such a busy first dater, I'll speak from my experience...kidding...ok, i'm sure by now you've realized I'm pretty witty, but want to catch me in prime akwardness...insert first date. i get nervous just like everyone else...really, this is not the ideal meeting people situation. i'd imagine a casual setting would work, something like meeting my parents and being interigated by my best girl friends. BUT, seriously...i'm sure whatever you suggest..ie: coffee, drinks, something of the like would be just fine. **If it leads to a second date, then we'll know it was a good idea.

Hi!! First things first, I am not really looking for the average joe. I like people who are freethinking, creative, open-minded, and entertaining. I'm kind of a hippie at heart. I really love nature and respecting it is very important to me. I believe in natural or "alternative" health and try to live a healthy lifestyle. If you eat at mcdonalds three times a day and your exercise is lifting a case of beer, we probably won't have much in common : ). I'm a very spiritual person, but NOT religious. I am here for dating because that's how everything starts....but eventually I want a real relationship with someone who is my best friend. I'm not interested in online chats or texting forever and I'm not here looking for hook ups.I am looking for a man...someone who can be assertive. I'll let you take the lead, so don't worry, I'm not one of those girls who is going to blow up your phone or think we are in a relationship after the first date. At the same time, I'm not going to let anyone waste my time if they aren't looking for the same thing I am. If you're done having kids or don't want them, I'm not the girl for you.No metrosexuals or struggling wanna-be famous musicians who are still finding themselves please. Looking for professionals who are financially stable. Doesn't really matter to me. A first date is not an interview. Let's get to know each other slowly, not put each other on the spot with cliche questions.

Woman. 31 years old. Zodiac sign: Taurus.

Looking for: man. In age: 28-38

I am someone that works hard and believes that you have to play as hard as you work to balance it out. I enjoy life and all of the small things that make it what it is. I have two cats that I love dearly. I like all animals. I like to read and enjoy some video games too. I am very social and like to be surrounded by my friends but also value my alone time. I value family. I like eating healthy and exercising. I try to go to the gym most days. I enjoy going to movies and am not picky about what I see. Life is not about the breaths you take but the moments that take your breath away.

Looking for: man. In age: 32-42

I am a single mom with a 16 year old son, a dog, and a cat. Having a teenage boy I do play video games and watch football. My true passion is cooking, and I do have a degree in the culinary arts. In the summer I enjoy gardening and grilling out almost daily. I also like to watch movies, play cards, and just hang out. In the future I would like to spend a couple of years working on the road catering for bands on tour, and eventually buying my own catering truck. I have been fortunate to be able to say that I have seen most of the U.S. I am very blessed to have a wonderful family and great friends. I haven't been on a first date in almost 14 years. Movies are nice, but for a first date I believe that you should be able to get to know each other. Parks are a wonderful place to set and talk, or just meeting up for a cup of coffee. I think the first date should also be short, because it doesn't take but a second to know if you click. If you click you decide then what to do for your second date, because you already know what to expect. Nobody likes to feel uncomfortable.
