I consider myself to be an independent woman with somewhat old-fashioned values when it comes to dating. I haven't always been this way but after some dating experiences I have decided that some of the values our parents followed probably were successful for a reason. I am usually considered to be the "funny" one in the group and finding someone with a sense of humor is at the top of my list. I think the world today is superficial and although being healthy is important, when we are all 80 years old having someone who can hold up their end of a conversation will be more important than having someone that looks good naked. I like all types of music but hip hop and r&b is probably what I listen to most. My favorite artist is Beyonce but I also like Aerosmith and artists like Pink. Sometimes I find myself getting very interested in a certain subject or topic and I will watch documentaries and try to learn everything about it I can. I enjoy watching movies and a lot of shows on HBO. I can't really stand a lot of reality TV but I do like American Idol (don't judge me lol). I spend a lot of time with my family and friends. My work is very important to me and I take pride in being a hard worker. I think one of the most important things to know about me is that I kind of tell it how it is and don't have time to play games. I just want to meet someone who is looking for a companion in life and someone to share and make new experiences with. I don't need a man, I just want one and I think that may be what sets me apart from some other women in the dating scene. I will not be "hanging out" or "chillin at your house" for a first date. We will be meeting in a public place maybe over a drink or dinner. And if you want to start a debate about how women should be paying for the first date in ***then do not message me. It's not about the $ - have some class. Lol.

Here we go... And so far it’s been great! It's really a fun city and there's always something to do.I love hanging out with my friends, live music, roadtrips, beers, cottage, food, a good movie, BBQs, Sundays in the park...I don't have a TV but I like watching TV shows... My favorites are How I met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Damages, Breaking Bad (I haven't the last season yet), House of Cards... And Friends will always be my favorite of all time! I love travelling... Hopefully I will be able to visit BC next summer.Music: pretty much everything! The Black Keys, Oasis, The Cranberries, Elvis Presley, Amy Winehouse, Arctic Monkeys, Beyoncé... Well let's see....I like to think I'm a pretty laid back person. I think I'm pretty basic when it comes to what I want from the guy I'm dating. Honesty is huge, respect obviously. I'm not looking to jump head first into a serious relationship, but if it happens that's great. I'm a very honest person...I don't hold much back and this sometimes gets me into trouble. Yes, he has more than that one song lol. I will listen to pretty much anything. I will bounce between the Top 40, classic rock, hard rock, adult contemporary, and yes, even NPR on my car radio.Also, I'm sort of confused about this whole "meet me" thing. I get messages from meetville saying so and so wants to meet me, but when I message them, no response. So it's ok if you don't want to meet me, just click no. I promise I can handle it. Again, I'm pretty basic. Dinner would be nice. Nothing super fancy, but a quiet restaurant makes conversation a bit easier. Maybe a movie after, or a walk? I know, not very original.
