I once had a nice, elaborate description of myself here, but I impulsively deleted my profile one day and now I can't remember all of the wonderful and witty things I had to say about myself...I generally put too much information on my profiles (curse of being an English teacher?), and to my dismay, I've learned that guys really don't like to read that much on these sites. Here's my best attempt at briefness: 1.) My Career: I teach English to refugee students at a local high school. Despite the sad state of the American education system and all of the bureaucracy and politics that go along with teaching, I think I have the most rewarding job in the world. I get to teach teenagers from countries such as Burma, Yemen, Congo, Somalia, Iraq, and Nepal. I have way too much fun at work. I learn just as much from the students as they learn from me.2.) Hobbies/Interests: Though I really love what I do for a living, I definitely feel that I work to live. I don't live to work. When I'm not teaching, I'm studying foreign languages (studied Spanish, French, Catalan, Italian, and am making veerrrrry slow progress with Arabic), listening to or playing music, learning how to cook, doing wine tastings, reading, watching Netflix, practicing yoga, going out with friends, eating at great restaurants, going to art shows and museums, traveling, and trying to find a partner to do all these things with! 3.) Music: Music is very important to me. If I could listen to music 24 hours a day, I would be in heaven. I'm open minded about all things in life, except for music. I love rock music. My favorites are alternative and classic rock. My ultimate fantasy has always been to be a rockstar. Unfortunately, I have a Fender I don't know how to play, and I'm mediocre at best on bass. I am a really good singer, but I'm also really shy so no one ever gets to hear it :)4.) Who I Am: I'm not easily classifiable. I thought I would have my life path figured out by the time I was 30, but I can see that that's not going to be the case. It's ok though! I'm serious only when I need to be, and silly the rest of the time. I'll never stop learning and evolving. The more I change, the more I become myself. I know it's rude to talk about politics and religion (right?), but to save you time I'll tell you right now that I'm a liberal, a feminist, and an atheist, and if you're none of those things you probably won't like me. That said, I'm also very polite, nice (too nice I think), modest, open minded, compassionate, generous, reserved but friendly, hilarious (I WILL make you laugh!), intelligent, and even a bit nerdy (I love me some Doctor Who!). If you care about astrology, I am the absolute epitome of a Taurus. Seriously.; white, St. Bean, purple eyeglasses (obviously :p), Frida Kahlo, dessert, Transmission Dance Party, Spanish-American literature, sociology, linguistics, and Billy Corgan. 5.) Who I'm Looking For: I'm a hopeless romantic to the core, but it's useless being a romantic when you're alone! I'm looking for my ultimate partner in crime. He's handsome, intelligent, romantic, thoughtful, witty, kind, honest, unique, passionate, open minded, likes to try new things, and has fantastic taste in music. Maybe I have high standards, but no one should have to settle when it comes to love, right? I'd be up for pretty much anything. Surprise me!

I'm an energetic, fun loving, single mom with two A-MAZING kids! **Note: Yes, I am raising TWO kids on my own. No, I do not need nor do I want to be taken care of. I love to work and I have proudly earned all that I have.**I plan on starting school in the winter to become a financial planner for small businesses and I can't wait! Between working round the clock and my awesomely fun mom duties, my free time is scarce. Making time for the right person would be worth the challenge. I like to try new activities and go on weekend roadtrips with my kids and friends. Outside of my family, my friends mean the world to me. I'm a very loyal and respectful person, who will go the distance for those who are important to me in my life. Every now and then I like to go out, have a few drinks with friends and relax. I've recently gotten back into working out and I'm sort of in love with the way it makes me feel...I definitely won't be giving that up anytime soon! I also love watching movies...either in the theater or on the couch. I prefer Action and Comedy flicks...not so much into horror, but I'll watch 'em if you don't mind me gripping my pillow for dear life.I'm very much into music, so I enjoy the concert scene as well. I love most types of music, except rap, r&b and some hip-hop. I mostly dig rock, punk, rockabilly, and metal. My favorite band is the Deftones...at least it better be since I have them tattooed on my back. I only have 2 tattoos...for now. I'm currently debating on whether I should start my sleeve or my ribs next. I'm thinking there's at least another 7 pieces in my future. My goal is to have them completed before I'm 30...wish me luck!I'm a Scorpio, so I know what I want. I can be a bit intense, but I loathe drama. *Note: I see that a majority of the profiles on here read something along the lines of "Looking for a drama free chick". All I have to say to that, gentlemen, is good luck! I admit that 70% of chicks in this world thrive on drama, but that's not always the case. Sometimes it rears it's unwanted and unwelcomed little head and it can't be helped. Every situation is different...are you willing to explore it?*I'm very reserved when I first meet someone...observant some would say. Passion runs deep within my veins and some might believe it doesn't exist, but if your lucky enough to experience it you will be very pleased. I'm sassy and sarcastic. Not everyone gets my sense of humor...it's not my intention to offend anyone. My closest friends will tell you that I am a sensitive person, with a hard exterior...it's just a matter of breaking through. If you cross me, well...best of luck to you.As of right now, I'm just looking forward to meeting new people and hanging out. I love my friends, but life feels a bit too routine lately. I'm just looking to break away from the norm.P.S. Guys...if you've been talking to a chick and you decide you're not interested, just tell her. Don't take the cowardly route and fall off the face of the earth...it's pathetic. Easy killer...lets just see how the first meet and greet goes.
