About Me

I am in school and work full time, and I also have my son full time. I am working on my Master's degree for school and can not wait to be done! I like going to movies and hanging out with my family and friends. I like all types of music but I would say that Country is my favorite. I like sports such as baseball (Cardinals), football (Packers), and hockey (Blackhawks) Anything else you want to know just ask!

Woman. 30 years old. Zodiac sign: Cancer.

Looking for: man. In age: 27-37

I think I'm pretty down to earth...I love spending time with my family, friends, and my dog. I play the piano and listen to/play most types of music. I love movies, mike n ikes, fishing, mustangs, and I also do a really good nerd voice. I am pretty independent, but would love to have someone to share the fun stuff with! I love to laugh and I can have fun doing almost anything... I'm always up for a new adventure or something fun to do and I am looking for someone who enjoys the same. I joined this site hoping to make some friends and hopefully find someone I click with to date and see where it goes. I would like to find a man who is "normal", honest, kind, and has a good sense of humor.

Woman. 29 years old. Zodiac sign: Leo.

Looking for: man. In age: 26-36

I once had a nice, elaborate description of myself here, but I impulsively deleted my profile one day and now I can't remember all of the wonderful and witty things I had to say about myself...I generally put too much information on my profiles (curse of being an English teacher?), and to my dismay, I've learned that guys really don't like to read that much on these sites. Here's my best attempt at briefness: 1.) My Career: I teach English to refugee students at a local high school. Despite the sad state of the American education system and all of the bureaucracy and politics that go along with teaching, I think I have the most rewarding job in the world. I get to teach teenagers from countries such as Burma, Yemen, Congo, Somalia, Iraq, and Nepal. I have way too much fun at work. I learn just as much from the students as they learn from me.2.) Hobbies/Interests: Though I really love what I do for a living, I definitely feel that I work to live. I don't live to work. When I'm not teaching, I'm studying foreign languages (studied Spanish, French, Catalan, Italian, and am making veerrrrry slow progress with Arabic), listening to or playing music, learning how to cook, doing wine tastings, reading, watching Netflix, practicing yoga, going out with friends, eating at great restaurants, going to art shows and museums, traveling, and trying to find a partner to do all these things with! 3.) Music: Music is very important to me. If I could listen to music 24 hours a day, I would be in heaven. I'm open minded about all things in life, except for music. I love rock music. My favorites are alternative and classic rock. My ultimate fantasy has always been to be a rockstar. Unfortunately, I have a Fender I don't know how to play, and I'm mediocre at best on bass. I am a really good singer, but I'm also really shy so no one ever gets to hear it :)4.) Who I Am: I'm not easily classifiable. I thought I would have my life path figured out by the time I was 30, but I can see that that's not going to be the case. It's ok though! I'm serious only when I need to be, and silly the rest of the time. I'll never stop learning and evolving. The more I change, the more I become myself. I know it's rude to talk about politics and religion (right?), but to save you time I'll tell you right now that I'm a liberal, a feminist, and an atheist, and if you're none of those things you probably won't like me. That said, I'm also very polite, nice (too nice I think), modest, open minded, compassionate, generous, reserved but friendly, hilarious (I WILL make you laugh!), intelligent, and even a bit nerdy (I love me some Doctor Who!). If you care about astrology, I am the absolute epitome of a Taurus. Seriously.; white, St. Bean, purple eyeglasses (obviously :p), Frida Kahlo, dessert, Transmission Dance Party, Spanish-American literature, sociology, linguistics, and Billy Corgan. 5.) Who I'm Looking For: I'm a hopeless romantic to the core, but it's useless being a romantic when you're alone! I'm looking for my ultimate partner in crime. He's handsome, intelligent, romantic, thoughtful, witty, kind, honest, unique, passionate, open minded, likes to try new things, and has fantastic taste in music. Maybe I have high standards, but no one should have to settle when it comes to love, right? I'd be up for pretty much anything. Surprise me!

Looking for: man. In age: 25-35

I have a huge appreciation for literature, history, and music. I am a family oriented, grounded person who loves relaxing time at home. However, I am a very active person with lots of energy and spend a lot of time out and about as well. I value honesty, integrity, and stability. I believe friendship and mutual respect are the strongest foundation for any relationship. I want to see the world. Traveling is a huge passion of mine. And I LOVE to laugh. It's the best medicine.I'm not looking for a party boy, but I'm also not looking for an introvert. I have a lot of respect for those who have learned the fine art of moderation. My life is not cookie cutter. I don't expect yours to be either. I believe in accepting people for who they are. I value "me" time and would like to meet someone who values the same. I'm just going to be straightforward here: if you are not at least my age and height, have selfies of your abs in your bathroom mirror, get in bar fights, seriously refer to girlfriends as "your old lady", can't handle being pranked, or have really poor grammar, I will respectfully decline considering you as a potential date.If you can handle pranks, a cup of coffee strong enough to put hair on your chest, mullet and fanny pack watching, documentary marathons, homemade Italian food, international travel, and the occasional intellectual, thought provoking conversation, we could probably enjoy each other's company.
