About Me

I'm often asked what I'm looking for... and I think it's what all women are looking for- an amazing man. Better yet, I can be specific...I want the funny teddy bear type man who makes me feel safe. The down to earth type guy that's not scared to laugh at himself. I want the man who cuts up with the waitress to the point they start to blush, but who's caring enough to stop and help someone stuck on the side of the road on the way home.I want the man who knows balance. He enjoys spending time with me, but not to the point where I feel like he's a suppository. He must be self sufficient and stable, emotionally and otherwise.Above all, he must know that I have two small girls (4 and 6), and they must come first. I haven't dated much because I refuse to bring men in and out of their lives- allowing them to get attached to someone takes a great amount of trust... please be understanding of this.Okay.. have I lost you yet? LolAllow me to tell you a little about myself...I do have one pet peeve: people who spell things incorrectly on purpose (this is no longer "kool").Favorite TV shows are walking dead, sons of anarchy, and greys anatomy. I listen to most music (so long as it's not twangy or whiney- ie: most country.) I'd rather have In This Moment, Tool, Korn, Foo Fighters, a Perfect Circle or System of a Down, even Aerosmith or older.... Even if I have to pull a prank in order to lighten the mood.I've been widowed since November ***Leukemia treatment complications). since then, I've been on a few dates, but have not made the relationship leap.I'm holding out for someone with a few core values: stability, honesty, loyalty, and ability to make me feel safe and loved. (Hmm... someone to make me laugh AND feel safe? Soo, guess that would be a clown ninja? Lol- Basically as I said above, a sense of humor paired with a heavy dose of common sense is a must. Let's just keep things lite and have fun :)Update:I'm not on here because I NEED someone, I'm here because I WANT to find someone. That being said, there are a few things that need to be addressed... Do not contact me if you're just looking for a hookup. Just friends? Sure. No problem. As long as you're HONEST and not some pompous ***hole we should get along well. Don't lie to try to impress women- half the time (or more) we can tell immediately, and you just sound like a jackass. Eventually, the truth to any lie we believed will present itself... anyway- just be yourself, be honest, be nice. Capiche? Capiche. Doesn't matter as long as we're able to joke around and have an easy conversation.

    New to the area out and about looking for someone to do things with. I love to try anything new. Always up for traveling near and far. I've been to Europe and hope to go back someday. Craziest thing I've done was jump out of a plane and I would do it again, and again, and again. I find drinking wine on a patio to be one of the most relaxing things whether I'm by myself or surrounded with my closest friends. I prefer hole in the wall and low key classy bars to loud crowded clubs. I am very career oriented and I take a lot of pride and ownership in all I do and the person I am. I work long crazy hours and will complain about it but deep down I absolutely love what I do. I put in more effort than most and constantly work for growth and development. This means I may not always be available. If that will irritate you then I'm not the girl for you. I work hard and want to find someone that will be proud and support me.As for a relationship, I enjoy and man that is confident and has great social skills. Money and status don't impress me. Wit and public interaction do. I can get along with just about anyone I meet and you must do the same. You won't find me stuck to your side every time we go out. I value personal space, mine and yours. I want someone that will challenge me and allow me to continue to be independent but will also know when to be thoughtful and courteous of my needs. The littlest things will go a long way and speak volumes. Grand gestures are only necessary for special occasions or if you royally screw up ;) and vise versa. I'm not needy or materialistic although I will appreciate being put on a pedestal randomly. Someone that feels the same is ideal.I am very generous, thoughtful, selfless and caring. However, if it is not reciprocated you won't see that side of me. Being taken advantage of does not sit well with me and I will loose interest.Laziness and selfishness will annoy me quickly and the relationship will not last if that is the person you are. You are who you are and I'm not out to change you. I'm not that kind of girl. I value my opinion and yours! Constant agreement of everything I say will drive me nuts.     I am a very busy person. I work, manage my home and children, and go to school. I sometimes feel like I don't have time for a relationship, but I guess there is always time if you make it. With so much going on, and little time for myself, I often get lonely. I am going to school to better myself and make a better life for my kids. My field is Criminal Justice, and I am looking at several avenues within that frame. Since I had kids so young, I had to grow up fast.
