About Me

So I'm known to my friends and family as... "the bad luck guy". Though this has negative connotations, in the sense that I will always find myself in a pickle, whether through my doing or the universe's, it has made me pretty fiesty in life and rather independent. It also has given me some great stories of how I've managed to get out of such scraps. I'm outgoing, love to laugh, love telling stories, I love to dance, and love to travel. I am originally a DC native (not MD, not VA!), I have lived in over 9 cities in the last 9 years, and finally happy to settle into DC! I'm an extrovert looking for a fun, sarcastic, and witty extrovert. I also am Celiac (allergic to gluten and wheat), and believe in taking care of myself; I love running, spin class, sports in general (Big Ten in particular), and just competed in the Mid***HOOORAH! And boy do I have the headband, scrapes, scars, and bruises to prove it!As a law student, I definitely have my more serious moments. I, oddly, really enjoy law school and its challenges, and am intellectually curious. I'm in my final year of law school, and just returned to DC after spending the summer working as a summer associate at a law firm in Santiago, Chile (which was awesome!) I'm interested in working in international development and improving the quality of life around the world. I want to spend my life traveling around, trying new things, and just becoming a full-time adventurer. I've got a LONG bucket list.I'm looking for someone who is curious about the world and up for anything. I'm pretty spontaneous and appreciate when someone can hop in the car and go on a road trip. Also, my guy doesn't take himself too seriously, is active and takes care of himself, is confident in himself, has a great sense of humor, is communicative and unafraid of opening up, is open to new things, is a person that I can take out and can create his own fun, and is constantly changing and moving. I need someone that challenges me everyday.Dealbreakers: If you don't have a passport, I don't think we'll have much in common...sorry, not gonna happen. Going out and trying a new restaurant, great conversation, and walking around the City. Doing something cultural during the day would be fun as well like going to the Smithsonians and checking out a new exhibit.     I have a deep love for travel, if I could I spend most of my time abroad. When I travel I prefer to stay in hostels to better see and explore the local culture. Photography is another one of my biggest passions. I would love to combine the two and travel the world as a photographer but that's a distant dream and for now I'm quite content working as an information management assistant. My interests can be divided into two sides. There's the geek side to me that loves comic books and role playing games. Some of my favorite comics include anything Spider-man, The Walking Dead, Fables, Saga, Chew, Y:The last man. I love the Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder role playing games. It's fun to get together with friends and immerse yourself into another world. Then there's the other side of me that loves the outdoors, nature walks, camping, canoeing/kayaking, snowshowing. I love to bowl and swim. I'm overweight but I consider myself healthy and I am making an effort to live a healthier lifestyle. I'm looking into archery lessons for the fun of it and I'm considering my Outdoors card with a hunting license. During the summer I love to spend time with friends at the cottage. I am also tattooed. I plan on eventually getting more. I absolutely love to cook and bake. I prefer a nice home cooked meal or freshly baked goods than anything store bought.I tend to prefer rock and class rock but I will listen to almost anything. I've never really been much of a hockey fan but that's probably because I've never been to a game nor have I ever really taken the effort to watch one but with the right person I could see myself gaining an interest. I like to go out but I'm not a fan of going to clubs downtown. I do enjoy going to a local pub with friends to hang out. As I mentioned I love to travel. I have hopes to go this fall. In total I've been to 11 countries and there's dozens more that I'd love to visit. I'm still not sure what exactly I'm looking for with this site. I'm 99% sure that I'm seeking a serious relationship but we'll see where things go. I've always been against the idea of settling down but recently I've begun to feel that I do want someone to share my life with. If I can find someone who shares some of my interests and who loves to travel as much as I do I would love to settle down with him.My ideal partner has to share my love for travel. I need someone who can join me on my adventures. He also has to have a good sense of humor. I don't see myself sharing my life with someone who can't enjoy a good laugh. It would be nice if he would share my interest in comic books (or at least comic based movies) and RPG's but if he doesn't then it's not a dealbreaker, he' just have to be able to put up with my geekiness. I do have a tendancy to have random conversations so someone who has no problem with that would be nice. Also, someone who gets along with my friends is a must. I may complain about them but I love them all like they're family.If you've read this far you should know that I can be a little shy and dense. I probably won't initiate contact for fear of regection so you'll have to message me. But once you get to know me I tend to be more outgoing and less shy but I'm still quite dense with this whole dating thing. Something that we could both enjoy, maybe go out for coffee or drinks to start with to get to know each other.
